My Spawn of dragon got no lifesteal

Unsure if it was only the unit spawn of dragon that was affected or if the aura did not work propperly. Not sure how to report this i hope im not causing any truble but i saw no form for reporting here,

@Zherc this is not a bug - due to the character of spawn's and guardian of death's attacks, these two units act as ranged. Therefore they do not benefit from overseer aura, however they do benefit from a helicopter aura instead.

@bezdak I asked the players ingame who played for a long time and they said that its a bug. Now I know ty for the info.

@Zherc well technically it is a bug, however caused by Warcraft mechanic, since it is not possible for melee unit to have a cleave attack, so the attack type has to be changed to ranged (even if it still has only a melee range).

@bezdak That is not true. I don't know, why spawn and god have ranged att. But the ability cleave, comes from the heor Pitlord, which is meele and benefits from the dreadlord aura. So units can have cleave AND lifegain aura. Reason must be something different. Probaly a bug which people got used to and thus never was fixed.

There is an ability for it meele which was even used or at least tried to be used in the early 1.x version.
The point of it beeing ranged could have been
1. That noone of the developers found( or cared about) a way to simultate the same different aoe zones as the ranged area damage gives by default which can be done by ading the cleave ability 3 times with different aoe value.
2. It simply doesnt scale with bonus damage which would be a good reason to not touch it. Will test it tho
