I know pretty much every damage amount and HP amount is based around armor calculations but honestly what would be the negative to removing the base 3 armor from every unit and creep and likewise reducing the damage of all units by 15%?
Main reason I can think of is just it would take a fair amount of work to change 250 units' armor amounts
Other than that I guess just to emphasize how handy spell damage is? Weird.
Why base armor?

Re: Why base armor?
Many towers (with armor reduce debuf) would lose its purpose since it cant be reduced to lower then 0? Orc Warlock, Accendant, Apparithion etc.
Atleast I think so?

Re: Why base armor?
The debuff can lower armor to below 0. So they take extra dmg instead

Re: Why base armor?
The reason for that i assume is so the armor buff and debuff doesnt get too strong.
- 13 armor = 55%
- 9 armor = 43%
- 5 armor = 27%
- 3 armor = 17%
0 armor = 0%
+ 1 armor = 6%

+ 23 armor = 58%

Re: Why base armor?
Each armorpoint increases the effective hitpoints by 6% no matter if you start with 3 armor or 0 armor.
Means 100 hp with 3 armor is the same as 118 hp with 0 armor or 130hp with -2 armor etc.
Adjusting the hp and armor for all units are actually just 3-4 clicks thanks to excel but would require a recalculation of all types of spells which might be annoying to do .
however i guess this would disturbe more people than clarify as its been like that forever.

Re: Why base armor?
Yeah fair. I just find it really annoying when my tower says it deals 40-50 damage but due to the armor calculation it is less than that 80% of the time.
