Ban abuse by agreements kiddo

Postby Kalach. » Mon Jan 21, 2013 10:46 am

Hi all
I would like to complain about ent admins that think they can use their power for personnal reasons.
I have been banned by "agreements", just because we votekicked him, trying to get a decent game with no "negative stats players".
We were 5 good players and we wanted a fair game.
So i dont know how is ent organized.
But kiddos thats abuse of their little power are just pathetic...
My aka is Ugly1... agreements also kicked randomuser07.
Please kick this kiddo from admins, he doesn't deserve admin.
Using power for personnal reasons is just... ugly !
Have a good day all

hi !
Thanks for ur answer... well for ur interest at least...
The game was ent civilization wars #85
the stats of each guy can be checked by typing !cws
when i went on this game 4 of my mates from pope were already in and a votekick was already launched
my mates asked votekick agreements because he has negative stats and because they knew that the game would be unfair with him.
As a matter of fact he went back in game.
And he lost game after 10 mins...
Was boring for all....as we knew since beginning.
Then agreements decide to ban us...
Because he lost ? because we tried to kick him ? because he was in a bad mood ?
dunno...
but we should not be victim of this obvious use of power for personnal reasons.
I guess our "judges" should be neutral...
Thank you for ur help..

maybe we can use this "incident" to get this bot (ent16) even better.
I would suggest 2 solutions to avoid these votekicks that are , as a matter of fact, numerous...
solution number one : autobalance... so teams would be more fair, with equal elo, and more fun for all
solution number two : make a "pro" bot where u can access only with minimum number of games played and positive stats so good players would not have to votekick bad players

anyway... thanks again for this bot that gave us a real improvement giving us elos and access to player's stats...
its just natural to use these stats to try and avoid unfair or boring games isn't it ?

I don't have access to the lobby log, but according to the chat log in-game, there was no votekick started against agreements. This means that you were indeed banned in the lobby. Now as far as ENT rules go, what your doing is considered votekick abuse.

uakf.b wrote:Abusing votekick: using !votekick to spam or when the victim has not done anything wrong; also refusing to votekick when a player has clearly violated a rule (note: it is possible for a player to ruin the game by both being new _and_ refusing to learn; in this case votekick may be used, but it is up to the players in the game to decide)

Just because his stats aren't good, doesn't mean you can just votekick him. It is against the rules and the consequences are bad when you do this to an admin. Also, agreement is not a "kiddo", he's quite old actually. I'm sure you could just be a 12 year old typing behind a computer screen.

lol... i invite u to come in paris, france, and meet me... we'll have a dring and u'll see i'm not exactly a 12 years old....but anyway i would appreciate to read ur decision about unban us (random_user07 and Ugly1).
i still feel that what we did was just trying to have a fair game and avoid a boring 10 minutes game where "agreements"just felt humiliated.
In real life, could someone involved in an incident be a judge for this same incident ? guess not...

last thing... i'm not THAT serious, and i would prefer to enjoy playing than having to write thousands words to ask for getting unbanned when i have been unfairly banned for admin personnal reasons

have a nice day

one more thing... if u go on ent16 and play a few games u will see that votekick are numerous in pregames, and that in most cases these votekicks are just made to try and get more fair teams and more fun game... its easy for a noob to join next game when 5 good players ask to kick him.... and this guy would not enjoy a pro game anyway... he would just make the game being bad... i'm ok to teach or train guys sometimes and i do so, but not always... sometimes u just wanna have fun

reading other posts on ur forum i can see that other popes members had pb of "ban abuse" by agreements....
for instance i see that agreements banned aimedshot for "suspected maphack"...
LOL
i never heard about any guy doing maphhack on civ wars... wich would be so useless btw...

question... does agreements have a personnal problem with pope clan ?
has he been kicked out of it ? would he dream to join it ? does he feel bad when he looses vs good players ?

when someone calls u a horse, dont pay attention... when 3 guys call u a horse, just go and buy a seddle...

is agreements abusing of ban vs pope members ? well....we may be 9 or more pope members that had problems with his unfair bans... should we just don't pay attention or buy him a seddle ?

Bro, do you even use the edit

button?
You seem to not understand that what you are doing is known as votekick abuse.
Kalach. wrote:one more thing... if u go on ent16 and play a few games u will see that votekick are numerous in pregames

Just because the people that you votekick don't make a ban requests to ban you, it doesn't change the rules that applies to all of our bots.

I do judge people's age by how they present themselves in the forum. Now for all i know, you could be 10, 11, 12 and claiming to be 21 or something like that. Now i'm not accusing you to be a 12 year old but your lack of punctuation does suggest you are. Now maybe because of your nationality, you may not have that sort of skills but you can't stop me from judging people that way.

I also decline your offer to come have a drink with you in Paris. It's winter up there and i'd prefer to enjoy cool beverages in the hot summer heat. But if you willing to buy me a plane ticket to allow me to come visit you, then by all means pay for it.

Your ban expires in approximately 23 hours.

What you did was votekick abuse. You are not allowed to votekick people just because they have bad stats. That is abusing the command. We allow users to have a votekick command to kick abusers of rules, not just because you don't like them or their stats.

We also allow you to host private games, of which you could do for those times you just really feel like playing with good players.

Kalach, tu doit être plus diplomatique dans votre choix de mots.

I won't comment here with regards to my ban since I've already said what I wanted to say in the thread I made in the ban appeal forum. However, may I make a suggestion? Apparently the vaste majority of clan pope and civ war players are completely unaware that using votekick in this way is against the rules and a bannable offense. (Side note: I afked for a while in the clan pope channel, come back and there are a bunch of people going 'wtf, that's a bananble offense?'.) The votekicking of agreements isn't some isolated incident, votekicking in lobby and during games to prevent people from wrecking games is extremely commonplace.

My suggestion is that when someone initiates a votekick, perhaps the bot could create a message that explains that votekicking noobs is a bannable offense, and players should not do it. Then people would be aware of the rules and not break them.

Dude, just admit what you did.. don't come here to say "Oh, the whole community from cw does it"... It's abuse, there's nothing else to say ¬¬
if you don't want pub in your game use the private bot. No big deal..

Yes, make a new topic on suggestion forum.
