Would you like me to just change the name of the ban then to excessive griefing, and refusing to help the team. The entire team still had a chance if they had played as a team, him selling his items probably discouraged many of them afterwards not to play.

its the fact that he refused to play, had afked, sold all his items to buy a needless one when the other team was not even at the fountain yet all his raxes were up and T3 towers were also up.

I know nothing of DotA, but why is it up to a Moderator whether he bought a "needless" item. What if he just sucks at the game and doesn't know that. Or, more importantly, what if he has a different opinion of you of what "needless" is. If we start moderating exactly how a game is played and try to make everyone robots that they must play each hero the way we want, they must have "logical" items, etc. what kind of Communist government are you trying to run??...

Well NoPicnic has over 200 games played so he knows how to play obviously (good or bad).

Thank you Teller55. This is what I as trying to explain to him. Mods can dictate what items to buy or not to buy. This isnt North Korea! Deeming something useless or needless is arbitrary. Any item can be used at some point for advantages.

Not sure your point. Maybe you should go re-read the entire complaint. It's about you buying a "useless item" as the ban pertains. Whereas i state, that food is not useless, nor would i be spamming it in said way to break the rules. That is why it is up to the admins in a case by case scenario to determine what is bannable.

Edit: Just because you don't agree with the ban, doesn't make it abuse, stupid, rage, or emotional. Someone made a request, it was handled. Appeal the ban (which you did) and wait out the duration. In the future you should play the game out to the end (yes, for dota players this is hard, but you should all learn it.)

But @teller55, I just want to clarify something. When you sell all your items in DotA and buy a force staff, it can NEVER be interpreted as a way to want to win. You will never win a single game doing that. The term "useless" here might be incorrectly used here, but I don't think much discussion is needed if you're familiar with the game.

It is much probably equivalent to building a base in Island Def, and then selling everything and standing still. You hog resources during the game, and you don't contribute after.

No I had no intent to ruin. Honestly. I did not know that selling items to make force staff at 22mins and game ended at 26mins was considered game ruining. If this type offense was listed against the rules would have never done it. Rules don't specify this offense. Didn't know it was considered waste of gold/resource. I thought I had freedom to buy any items I wanted as long as it was not spamming. I choose force staff to push opposing into fountain to try to get kills. Not to game ruin or waste gold.

Yes I bought before any raxes were gone but the game was clearly lopsided in kills and levels. And all teammates were grieving and given up. 4 had ff.
