power tripping? i was first at killing the chicken and end up taking 1 egg, and plus. claims the eggs as his because he killed the minion and subsequently kicks me because i wont give it to him

for island defense
plus killed a minion with his hero and i wanted the eggs to i started to kill the chicken....plus joins in to kill it too...no problems there ... we end up killing the chicken and i took one egg
then plus demands the egg because its "his" because he killed the minion to begin with
i refuse to give him the egg because thats just an absurd claim so he proceeds to kick me
the last min of the replay that ive uploaded should have all the evidence needed to be seen

If you don't help kill the minion (Trap, Block, Significant damage, Eye, Slow) you don't get an egg, simple as that.
Helping kill a chicken by no means gives you the right to take an egg.

Even if he did "steal" the egg, doesn't give you the right to kick him from a game. You should have played it out then requested a ban for him (if this is even a bannable offense). You took your admin powers and used it in game. I believe this is admin abuse. Nowhere on the I.D Rules does it say it's an offense to do what Zaq did.

Reasons to temporarily ban or kick a player:
If player is not punished in-game, then we can enforce a time ban.

AFK builder/titan that ruins the game.
Placing your main builder in a place that is not nukable by titan.
Loud stacking (worker stacking with the loud error sounds) or worker stacking in an unnukable spot in a base.
Intentional stalling a losing game as titan and wasting everyone's time for more than 5 mins. The titan can be kicked if he does not kill a builder in 20 minutes time, and if 50% of the builders alive agree to having the titan kicked.
[Reveal] Spoiler:
Intentional feeding without 60% of the other players' consensus (applies to titan intentionally feeding builders gold).
Refusing to leave base after being asked by owner.
Item stealing.

Intentional abusing of pause/resumes and/or save game.
Intentional suiciding that negatively affects the game (unless to deny feed or the game is blatantly over and no builders want to take over titan).
Intentional blocking that negatively affects player(s) game experience.

Leaver titan in the first 10 minutes of game (time must be noted from when titan spawns (GP timer starts)).

Miscellaneous Rules:
Titan may leave the game under the condition that 3 or more builders have left the game or became observers as a builder in the first 10 minutes. He can also leave early if there is no basers left (Builders that have already died to the titan are not counted).
Gathering consensus in the lobby chat is not recorded, so it is still bannable if you do not have proof of lobby chat, unless an ID staff member confirms that 60% consensus was gathered via the lobby chat.
If a player pings a seed and/or a base it does NOT mean they have the rights to that seed and/or base. The first unit that has the ability to build (includes any builder/summoner, excludes nature's workers) to the seed and/or base has the rights to it. Tk'ing will result in a time ban.[/spoiler]

Also as a mod, you shouldn't kick players from a game, unless they are intentionally ruining the game. Even if they are, you should wait til the game is over and report it through the proper channels. You kicking someone in-game, when they didn't break any rules is abusing your powers.....imo.

Firstly, notice how I asked him for my egg back without any idication that I am an admin.
After kindly waiting ever so patiently for him to return my egg I kicked him to take it back rather than ban him.

Item stealing is against the rules, people who contribute nothing to killing a minion are breaking said rule. At least it's the way it has always been handled at BGN.

To those of you who know nothing about island defense:
When a builder is killed a minion is spawned which has quite a bit of damage and health and is rather difficult to kill, once this minion has been killed a chicken is spawned which can deal no damage and is easily trappable. This chicken drops valuable eggs which can be converted into useful items to beef up and kill other minions with.

What I did was kill the minion as well as damage the chicken substantial, what he did is attack the chicken a few times and pick up an egg which in my best judgment he did not deserve. I asked him for it back and he refused so I kicked the player rather than banning him.

But why kick him, if this isn't breaking any rules? If you weren't a mod (had admin powers) you wouldn't be able to do it and you would have to play the game without getting your egg back. You can't kick/ban people when they aren't breaking the rules, that's abusing your powers.

Edit: If you think this should be a rule, I would suggest you bring it up to the other mods.

If the minion dropped the eggs then i would understand HOWEVER the minion spawns the CHICKEN that drops the eggs and I have helped killed the chicken.

And we are not on BGN plus

By the means that it is substantially more difficult to kill a minion than a chicken, had I not killed the minion you surely wouldn't have been able too.
I'm absolutely certain that the island defense staff would agree with my judgement. I'm aware that this is ENT but most of the island defense community comes from what was formerly known as BGN and this was the way we handled it there.

Instead of bickering pointlessly why don't we let an island defense admin (or someone with relevant authority and knowledge of the game) handle this further.

By the means that it is substantially more difficult to kill a minion than a chicken, had I not killed the minion you surely wouldn't have been able too.

low level minion, i had a merch, titan wasnt very good, not very hard to kill minion - so i would say i would have been. And if you were so certain you are justified you wouldn't be here defending yourself - but yes lets see what people who have authority actually say.

I completely understand you're from BGN and with the merge this game became more popular on ENT. I'm not an expert with this game, however if there is no rule stating this is not allowed, especially in the rules section of the forum, how are members supposed to know this is a bannable offense? Also, just because you're a mod doesn't give you the right to kick people from in-game. You should have sucked it up and requested a ban for him after the game.

Had our roles been reversed it would give you the right to ban me for a couple of days instead of a simple kick to take an item back, would you rather that would have happened, if so I will gladly oblige.

If you took the time to review the replay you will notice that due to your negligence you failed to trap the chicken properly before hitting him which resulted in it running away, you hit the chicken before my titan hunter did. Don't blame me for your failure.

It's mine because out of the (2150 hp minion + 2700 hp chicken), you dealt 250 damage at most to something (the chicken) which couldn't fight back and think you deserve to have a share of the spoils.
