Banning is something that happens quite frequently within ENT and not a lot of people question it. Banning can be a good thing, if they've showed repeat offenses, hacking, etc... but the problem with ENT banning is across the board banning. You get banned in DoTA? You are now banned from any ENT game for the entire length of the ban. That poses a significant problem:
You do not own WC3. It's known that ENT brings in most of WC3 custom game traffic in, due to it hosting a variety of games and the most popular ones. However, being that you do have almost ALL WC3 custom game traffic. you banning someone bans them from 3/4th of all games on Bnet. You need to setup bans in which it only bans you from the game you had the offense in. More work? Yes. But ENT essentially owning 3/4 of Bnet and restricting access to 1/4 regardless of the offense you committed is wrong.

Re: Banning Which games can you leave?
Will I be banned if I leave wintermauls, pokemon defenses etc? I understand that people get bans from leaving in DoTa and Angel arena etc, but these other games? Would really appreciate fast answers.

Post a suggestion.
- Information, Rules, Guides and everything else you need to know about ENT is on the ENT Wiki.

Re: Banning
It's a matter of setting up the ban. You ban the IP of the said offender which in turns bans him from ENT games in entirety, it needs to be re-worked to be able to ban a member from specific games in which they have the offense, whether that means having a number of bots independently having their own ban list or a updated bot system which can track which games you have been banned on so it knows not to let you into that specific game. Obviously the question of a offender ruining multiple game platforms would be an issue, setup a new rule system indicating how many game-specific bans you could have until it becomes an overall ENT ban.
Hacking is fun, DDoSing is fun, why don't I do it more often?

Re: Banning
Easy solution: dont break a rule.
Our rules are derived from common sense. If you lack common sense, think more. You are a rational being.
Never read our rules? http://wiki.entgaming.net/index.php?title=EntGaming:Rules
There are other non-ENT custom games and bnet ladder games you can play. Yes, ENT does not own wc3. We are free to host on wc3 though.
What is the point of allowing a mher who got banned on Dota to play and mh and game ruin in other custom games? Where is the logic?
If you understand your wrong doings, you are free to appeal and get unbanned or receive a ban reduction.
Hmm, doubt uakf.b will do this, but you could try and suggest this. Our current system seems superior and more effective though.
