Brief introduction:
Greetings ENT Team! I'm sure most of you know me by now; but hello! My name is Chris (aka iightfyre) and I have been involved in the LTD forums for over a year with over 650 posts to date. I have also been an LIHL moderator since day one of the league. I am applying now for a custom mod position to better help serve the LTD community and the ENT team. I am committed to helping create and maintain a positive and unbias gaming environment for all of ENT's community. I hope that you consider me a valuable asset to ENT's team and take my application for Custom Mod under serious consideration.
What are your current hours of playing time (approximate)? Daily 8pm - 5am PST (give or take, depending on the day); sometimes I can be found online during daylight hours but it is not often that I am.
What is your current time zone? US / Pacific (PST)
Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III:
- I have been playing WC3 since its induction back in 2003 (I know I'm a geek!). Ever since 2003 I have been fascinated with tower defense games dating back to the original Wintermaul!!
- I have been an LIHL moderator with ENT since it's creation back in April(ish) of 2013. I have been very active in the following forums LTD Public, LIHL Public, LIHL Admin
- I have experience posting and handling ban requests and always play with a fog click detector running while I play LTD. - I have created some of the most important guidelines for the LIHL - reference https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=18060 - on this page I created and maintained the original topics for "rules", "grpoxy guide", and "legion td creep sheet" - as well as maintained the overall cleanliness and functionality of the LIHL forums
- I post often in the LTD public forums to help educate and guide the community
- I play LTD often and am constantly coaching new players as well as trying to enforce and educate the community on ENT's rules
- I have been active in the vouching process of LIHL members
Why do you want to become a game moderator?
Let's be real honest. This is what I am looking to gain by becoming a Custom Mod
- Access to !alias functionality to be able to check for ban dodgers, smurfs, trolls, etc.
- Access to !ping, !ban, !kick, !mute functionality in game to help moderate and create the best gaming experience for everyone
- Ability to apply bans and look up ban history to keep the community clean
- Blue name.. ew.. I do prefer the orange that I already have!
- Prestige
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community?
In addition to what I currently do for the LIHL and public LTD community I will promise to
- Be more active with ban requests; i.e. checking for game ruiners and maphackers
- Be more active in LTD public forums to better assist and educate the community
- Play on my main account (iightfyre) more often to better help moderate games as they are being played
- Always do my best to keep the community clean, safe, professional and fun
Summary of qualifications (Yes, I added this part)
- 10 months Moderating experience (LIHL)
- 11 years of WC3 experience (as a player)
- Dozens of ban requests submitted
- No ban history on my accounts (aside from some autobans from DC's)
- Good references from my standing in the LIHL and public forum
- Savvy with computers - my posts always look professional and eye appealing
- Professional attitude - never had a complaint about my attitude or flaming forums except once a while back but the issue was resolved easily by myself
- Life experience - I'm not a kid, I'm a mature adult
- 650 + posts on ENT forums - very active member
- Over 3000 games of LTD played - mucho experience!
- Knowledgeable of ENT's rules and guidelines - I won't need much training

In closing I would first off like to thank all of you for reading my application and considering me for a Custom Mod position. I am one of ENT's biggest advocates and play solely on ENT's bots. I love this community and greatly enjoy being a part of it. As you review my application I hope that you see my lengthy experience, maturity and professionalism as positive driving forces in making your decision.
