ShameIess@useast LTD Moderator
Name: Nick
Age: 26
Game moderator specialty (see below for choices): Legion TD
Brief introduction: Hey its Shame. Been around for a bit on the forums and in the clan chat room and LTD circuit. I am from Long Island, New York. I work for a commercial party company and do business all over the tri-state area. Been playing WC3 since it came out, bought it new at Best Buy, when Best Buy was a new store lol. I used to be a big Footmen Frenzy 5.4 AR player took a little break and then in April started playing a lot of Legion. I enjoy player communities, I think they are fun and I like finding a couple good players you can have a couple beers with and crack jokes while playing a casual game.
What are your current hours of playing time (approximate)? 3-5 hours per day
What is your current time zone? EST
Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: I have been in many clans over the years and been a shaman in quite a few Clan tDT/Clan Faan and a million others I won't remember. I have ran three myself. All three were Footmen clans. Clan Vig which later merged with another clan to make Clan iMBa. And then again awhile later remade Clan ViG. I have dealt with many clan members complaints and requests, run my own ghost++ bots and stealths and have had to manage and make multi-tiered positions and responsibilities for all my clan mates. I have ran websites similar to this but not as successful, in fact something similar to this was always my goal, just never took off.
Why do you want to become a game moderator? Same as everybody else, just contribute to the community. Make sure we have fun, fair games. And to make sure really that someone who posts a ban request or ban appeal for LTD does not have to wait a day or two to get an answer. Not that it happens often, just the more the merrier, not everyone is on all day long.
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community? I play a lot in the ent18 bot. I know both bit and bbb are legion admins and they are lihl players. I feel that me not being in the league and playing constantly with other public gamers on ent18 might give me an edge on appeals n requests. I know a lot of the community and the players who frequent it.
Closing Statement: Be gentle. The EDITs were because I pressed enter and submitted by accident and then forget to bold the questions. Thanks.

A few links to your ban requests or input would help tremendously.

Most of these are minor reports, which is no problem ; however how would you deal with a maphacking ban request?

Re: ShameIess@useast LTD Moderator
I just started learning about analyzing MapHacking requests. I have been reading through Agreements tutorial on it and recently downloaded the fcd. In legion MH is hard to come by because it is not as useful I guess and the people who do use it are smart enough not to click anything, all you really need it for is to see when they are gonna send.
That aside, I am still new with it. Burritocarcass has offered to walk me through some DOTA mh requests with team speak which I want to take him up on when we both get some time.

Some of these repeats from post #3. I really only stick to legion bans/appeals. I help other players appeals by giving stay rates and checking if they have a million akas or something, I might write that its not a good stay rate or something like "Let the man play" means hes ok. Generally what I have observed is that if a player has above a 90% stay rate you approve the appeal and if his problem was d/c or something try to point him to ent connect or g-proxxy, which I have done in a lot of appeals just did not post them because there is no input besides that. If the player is below 90% well then I should check his akas, the manner in which he presented his appeal and whether he is a repeat offender.

Re: ShameIess@useast LTD Moderator
I have no issues with this guy. He even gave me a trivia bot for Clan EDL, which was incredible of him and very kind. He is also always asking how he can help and for help to learn new things. I wouldn't mind having this guy as an actual game moderator, not just LTD. He has great knowledge that I think can really help the forum. !Support

I see no reason why we shouldn't accept him, he obviously has dedication and we need someone to help process ltd requests. Do you know how to process other games by any chance? This won't affect my decision on you, it's just for my own curiosity purposes. Overall I've seen your ban requests and such, I see no reason why you shouldn't be accepted.

Re: ShameIess@useast LTD Moderator
I know I can help with the general appeals, they are fairly straight forward. But other ban requests such as NWU/All-Star Arena/DOTA/ID I will need to learn and brush up on. My next venture will most likely be DOTA, because I have played it a couple of times and have some moderators already willing to show me the ropes. I have remained silent on adding input on some requests simply because I do not know the game in and out. I really would like to fully understand the custom game and the ways of its community before being able to judge and for lack of a better word "sentence" others.

I can generally handle allstars, we get those requests very seldom. I like that you want to process dota though, very good. I will teach you what I know as well. I hope your app isn't dragged out too long because you should be accepted in my eyes.
