Left for a while due to me moving and not having internet for ~4 months. But I'm back and ready to get back into the swing of things.

Thread Topic:
MoguL@useast.battle.net

Name:
Mike

Age:
24

Game moderator position (see below for choices):
DotA

Brief introduction:
My name is Mike, I'm 24. People know me as MoguL@useast. Been playing WarCraft for a while, very familiar with the mechanics of it. I've played DotA for 2 years or so. Outside of DotA, I play guitar a lot, work out, run a website that I co-own.

What are your current hours of playing time (approximate)?
Lots.

What is your current time zone?
EST

Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III:
Been playing WarCraft for about a decade. Used to be an admin for roc.replayers.com, one of the largest RoC replay sites, where I helped arrange tournaments, review replays, etc. I switched to DotA about 2 years ago and have become a pretty solid, consistent player that a lot of players enjoy playing with. I have real-world experience with making tough decisions and helping to address various complaints and suggestions effectively. Recently, I've read through the threads on maphacking, etc. and have been practicing catching maphackers. (Think I've gotten pretty good.)

Why should we accept you?
I'm a pretty well-liked, active player that's able to help review complaints, suggestions, hacks, etc. I'm also a pretty forward-thinking individual that wants to help not only maintain, but improve the community. I've got a lot of experience running tournaments, reviewing forums, and moderating a gaming community.

Why do you want to become a game moderator?
I can definitely help share the moderating responsibilities because I'm active and I enjoy being the person that people go to for help. A lot of other players have suggested I give this a shot and after thinking about it, I'm ready to. Besides, I've enjoyed being a mod/admin in other communities and I've had great feedback about it.

What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community?
I'd like to bring serious tournaments, leagues, etc. into the community. Also, I'd to help enforce the rules of the community and continue to ensure we have a fair and just place to play here.

Closing Statement:

Hope you accept me.

Cheers,
mogul

Not only that, there are 2 pages of ban requests atm for your specialty, dota. Yet, you haven't posted on a single one to show that you became active again. To me, this shows that you are not willing to get back into the swing of things.

Not only that, seems you just want the power.

Too shoot along with matdas as well I will include the first time I met Mogul on ENT. It was such a delightful experience, @bit can agree.

It started with this, http://i.imgur.com/DFQFad8.png then followed by a huge amount of arguing with mogul, if he does not change his attitude then it will only cause conflict.

I am in the same boat as matdas as well, has done no attempt to do any forum work before re-applying. the statement "seems you just want the power." is what I also think of this.

I saw the link of mogul@useast.battle.net Screen log: manners and bad behavior.

ENT staff doesn't accept people with bad behavior and wrong act.

He's language and acting is an childish. just being honest.

He lost internet for 4 month. Isn't that enough to explain the no post.. He just made it the wrong way to come backs. Let me clear this for you MoGul:

If you're looking for a come back, do like you never been an admin before. Go help the community as much as you can. If it's good enough for moderator and red admin. They'll get you back. For now, there's no excuses for a : 'I went off for 4 month, get me back!'.. Sorry.

I will be neutral. Let this go for a week and check out what he do for community. Also, please, bring some links of your post that helped in BRQ or Appeal etc. If you deserve the position, you'll show them what you can do. Otherwise... You know. Ex-staff.

I am not supporting this application just by looking at this chat! Disgusting.

So yea if you really wanted to join back on the team, you should really consider doing some work in the ban request. Last few days I have seen more than plenty of ban requests. I think you just want power without having to do a thing.

I see this more as an excuse than anything else. Most (>95%) of phones nowadays don't have a character limit on making posts on this site.

I don't see how this is relevant at all, thanks for the fun fact, though.

It's in every applicants best interest to do the work before applying for admin. I don't see why the policy is to let them apply with nothing done and then wait two weeks. They should just be denied if they haven't shown any benefit to the community.
