Brief introduction: My name as I already said is Lance Hawkins I am an insurance and stock broker. I play dota mostly, usually in the night time between 10 pm and 2 am...Wife kids just an average guy...who enjoys gaming in my spare time

Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: Well I have played war craft since 2004 I used to have a 1500 win Icon but I mostly play dota and specialty games now. Been playing dota for over a year. I like to play the impossible games as the underdog its best to learn that way......
Why do you want to become a game moderator: Well I want to help out to make the game better for everyone....and help your work load at least in dealing with the easy tasks, things that are simple like leaving games, vote kick abuse, bug abuse and would love to learn how to detect fog click and map hackers. it would greatly help you take care of more important business
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community: Some one who will actually look at the replays and help determine whether ban requests are legit, or in the case of new players making sure they know the rules being firm but flexible
Closing Statement: Not sure what to Say here....not guilty I didnt do it it was the butler with the candle stick in the library ....Sorry sarcasm is always a little fun..I just want to help out I have the time late at night I like to play the game so it seems to be a fit.

Yeah i just started logging into chat earlier today I started to work on the 3 things you suggested before ii applied for this position I was expecting to have to learn more but might as well know what i need to learn

@larz882003 Other applications, which were somewhat short, were turned down by saying "This took you 5 minutes" and thread was closed. Reason was that our greens and reds wanna see a little more of someone, who will represent their enterprise. I guess they also gage the amount of your expected activity by the length/detail of your application.
I remember your account-name when doing ban-requests, and if I'm not mistaken, your request were always legit and never consisted of "Maphack the whole game. OMG ROFL, so obvious, pls ban, thx!"

In my opinion you seem to be a good addition, but I'm somewhat sure that they want to see you getting involved a little more with the forum. So linking to ban-request which you either posted or commented, and the same for appeals. You know, just so the higher-ups know, what you wrote aren't just words.

Firstly, thank you for wanting to help out.

While your application is pending and awaiting for decision, I would like you to skim through the forum and discover the many things it offers. Looking at your post comments and app, I am getting the impression that you have not checked our wiki page.

Half of your posts are ban appeals. Although the appeal section is an active part of this forum, it would be great if you concentrated more on commenting ban requests representing your game knowledge and experiences. Part of moderating involves checking replays, but also knowing how to use the forum tools and third party tools available.

It is my first time seeing you and I have little idea regarding what type of player you are skill and personality wise. After skimming through your alias list and dota games, it seems you die often. I wont know whether your deaths are intentional till I watch the replays, but if your kdr is so low, it usually indicates feeding or reckless plays. You do not have to be a decent player to moderate, but it is a plus . You mentioned that you were a 1500 ladder player, so I expect your micro to be good. Please comment regarding your usual game plays a bit.

Lastly, I have never seen you on chat. The chat is a core place for moderators and regular users to actively discuss ENT-related matters. Feel free to start dropping by the chat, so the staff can get to know you bit more personally.

My kd Is usualy low because used to play techies a lot I mean a lot he is a funny hero to play and I usually came up with new ways to use him. like blink dagger with auto suicide into a team battle..cause the damage and let your carries clean up. I like playing support as I am more of a team player where carries seem to be more about their own stats than the individual game. Also ones computer can cause some of that I.e if your video card isnt the best at the time and you lag at the wrong time during a gank or team battle.

Ok well then na I dont feed....I might get reckless from time to time when I am either learning a new hero or trying out a different build. I will admit I will do some dumb stuff..Trying out new things. If I had 10 hours a day to play I would be pro by now lol but with my career and family 4 or 5 hours a night is all I can seem to muster which is only a few games.....not to mention I like reading the ban requests but I never really commented on them as I didnt feel like it was my business to interfere at that time

I'd like to see more activity in the brq forum. Careful analysis of these replays is required- any input you give would be beneficial as long as it is relevant to the brq. For instance, if someone is afking, get rough time estimates in game so that the mod can review from that time frame, etc.

While you've provided input on casual ban requests, I am missing some maphack/drm related ban requests. We would like to ask you to focus on such requests, so we know you are capable of using the tools.

Whether you've the experience to judge cases properly, we will see. But you've a fine attitude and common sense - and the rest, we can teach you.
