Name: Thomas
Age: 18
Game moderator specialty (see below for choices): LegionTD, DotA (for mh-cases and afk and stuff like this, NOT for gameruin/intentionally losing cause i dont have the skill in dota to judge this)
Brief introduction: Hey guys, im "Guennter" and playing on this ENT-bots for quite a lot of time now. When im not gaming, im playing Handball or im chilling around with my friends and getting prepared for my Abitur (A-Level exames) here in Germany.
What are your current hours of playing time (approximate): Hard to say, since it differs from day to day ... there are around 8 hours every day from 11am to 4am (somewhere between this) in my timezone.
What is your current time zone: UTC+1
Describe any relevant experience, both in moderating and in Warcraft III: Im playing Warcraft since a long time, started around 7 or 8 years ago and played some nice orc-towering-games there. Later i started playing YouTD (on this TD im actually trying to design an own tower, but it aint easy) and LegionTD v1.4 and the following. Then i had a break while i was playing other games (like LoL, FIFA, NFS) and now im back to it since nearly 1 year. Im a quite active member of LIHL and also very active in ENT-forum.
I dont have any real preferrences on moderating despites i was "student leader" (in Germany we have a person elected by all students in school which is talking for them with the directory and such stuff.) ^^
Why do you want to become a game moderator: I would like to help the ENT-community on improving even more. Helping guys which go to appeal to play again as soon as possible and not letting them wait till the ban expires anyway, and banning the gameruiners/hackers which destroy the fun of all the other players around (like me :P ). I also want to give something back for all the fun i have with ENT.
What will you bring to the ENT/Warcraft III community: Ill bring a lot of activity (like i already do) and help on appeals/ban-requests.
Closing Statement: I would be delighted beeing a part of the ENT-Staff and hope you guys gonna welcome me :) .

got no help on ban-appeals since quite a longer time it seems, since i cant rly help there (cant find time-stamps for the mod or show when somebody did foglick and so on, since he already knows and need to rethink about the ban now.).

Post your list of ban requests and appeals.

Do you think you could learn what you lack in dota knowledge fairly easy? as I think this would improve your odds of becoming a mod.

Regarding his attitude and such I support - don't know about his mod skills

well, i played a lot of LoL so i think im able to catch up on this quite fast. i think i should be already able to judge if there is stuff like "refusing to play with team (aka soloing/refusing to teamfight)" and "selling items for no reason". but things depending on handling the game (which items are trolling, which use of skills is trolling/tk´ing) will need some of my time :)

Oh no the Guennter. Never got my attention by doing something negative when I played with him in lihl (well, besides playing like a nap :P )

In my opinion a trustworthy person and he has my support.

Yes, dota would help. But let's say the dota-knowledge you'd need isn't that much, as long as you don't do maphack-cases. Any 12 y/o can check if there was someone destroying items/afking at fountain/blocking his ally/tower-diving/feeding courier or simply flaming.

Might there be an issue? A-Levels do take a lot of time and while it's only January, you will soon see yourself not capable of focusing on both ent and school.

That probably wasnt phrased too well. Ban appeals are no free card to get unbanned. It gives them the opportunity to defend themselves and if done well, receive an unban. You will have to investigate case by case.

huh? Doing administrative work has nothing to do with your age and since he doesn't feel confident enough to do them, you just insulted him as a 12 years old :P

@Guennter Use DRM for maphack clicks (like you do for AS), please. While the activity isnt perfect, it is decent and constant. My first impression is fairly well.

However, you will and must handle other game genre ban requests in the future and having the attitude of not wanting to do it due to lack of knowledge is the wrong approach. We will guide you and help you; you just need to start somewhere. Please keep that in mind.

As far as I can tell Guennter is a nice and friendly guy who usually is neutral and objective. Can't talk about his "Mod skills".

@art)y I wont have any time-problems, since im not in school anymore :) Im doing my A-Level without going to school, its something special here in Germany. We call it "Schulfremdenabitur". I need to prepare me at home by myself/help of my brother/friends and so on. Since i already know most of the stuff i need, i wont need a lot of time to learn.

Yeah. I just saw the "already expired"-sign sometimes on the appeals and want to help stoping this. Ofcourse an appeal wont always work, but IF it was an unnecessary ban or an accident ban by "autoban", then i would like the help the harmed player.

Is it necessary to copy the detected fogclick from DRM/DRMF instead of the FCD? Ofcourse i searched for it on the DRM aswell, but didnt thought it matters which of the log´s you take to copy from. Will keep that in mind, thx.

Well, make sure to read the wiki pages regarding FCD and maphack detection. It is explained by FCD usage is no proof for maphack at ENT.

Definitely an active member on the forums. He helps with ban requests and knows the basics of moderating tools. Guennter seems like a nice guy. Don't know about his ingame behavior. Haven't seen him on chat much.
