WC3Connect
Re: WC3Connect
So i got the client and connector, when i click on play wc3 the game doesn't start. I just get a black screen and closing it gives unexpected error and the error code. Any ideas?
Re: WC3Connect
Cause I just got disconnected from the game cause I accidentally close entconnect while I tabbed out...
Is it possible to implement a feature with that you cant close entconnect with 1 single click?

Mac users:
I have downloaded the client above and the WC3 1.30.1 file, but I have a problem when I try to launch Warcraft3.exe. I receive this message:
Warcraft III was unable to initialize. Error 3.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Re: WC3Connect
Hi. Is there any way to change the default directory location of where the wc3 folder has to be? My C drive does not have a lot of storage space, and i would like to store wc3 on my hdd.
I tried looking at the source code, but im only a programmer still under education and i couldnt find where to change the directory path. Could you perhaps give me any advice on how to change it?
Thanks in advance

@kongfumusen
You can place your wc3 directory anywhere you want as games get broadcasted to LAN regardless. The message is only meant to give you an option to lauch your game via the client.

Re: WC3Connect
So i ran connect like usual and started the warcraft game. When no games showed up in the local area network. I alt tabbed and noticed the wc3 connect had simply disppeared.
then when I went to re download it, my computer says a virus was detected in the download. Anyone have strange but similar issues to me?

Re: WC3Connect
Same problem lol, entconnect autodeleted this morning. Can not download it either (gets autodeleted). Could be related to windows 10 update last night.
Just turned OFF the real time virus protection, and wc3connect downloaded and works. But it says that virus protection turns back ON automatically... so this is not an option probably.

Re: WC3Connect
Do note that this is a false positive.
Windows Defender labels the activities that go on as a "trojan", but overall as mentioned, it's a false positive. People have noted this issue came up recently due to a recent OS update.
In order for this not to be deleted, you will need to add an exclusion to your Windows Defender to ensure it does not delete the wc3connect client.
Navigate to the following:
Windows Key > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection
Virus & threat protection > Virus & threat protection settings > Add or remove exclusions
From here you'll click "Add an exclusion" > file > select "wc3connect"
This should hopefully fix the issue of it being deleted.
