Then the command prompt log might have additional information which could help debug the problem.

Also, is it crashing immediately after you open it, or are you able to join a game and then it crashes right after, or when does it crash?

So.. there's a problem with this new (pretty unfriendly) move of yours.

Now we can't check the stats of games in progress at all, because it's locked in your site and because WC3C doesn't even register started games at all.
I know this might not seem important but I can guarantee that for every player in a game, you have 10 people checking what's hosted and who's playing, etc

@Mavulos I've updated so you can see slots for in-progress games, at least until that information is displayed in WC3Connect.

Not sure what you mean by unfriendly. We have spent tens of hours building WC3Connect and getting people to use it so that the custom game community doesn't collapse when the next patch comes out. We aren't gaining anything from this, other than being able to continue to enjoy playing WC3. You might think it's illogical to care so much about a 15-year-old game, but that doesn't mean you have to go around insulting people who are trying to keep it alive.

@uakf.b i tried it before but for sake of fixing here (the very same problem):
idk if you even have to install this app or not, it crash immediately after launch

@uakf.b uh, I think you might have read my post wrong, cause I didn't insult you or anyone, lol.
I get the logic behind what you're doing, not questioning that. I just called it unfriendly because when you find out about it by clicking on a game it kinda feels like a faceslap, nothing more than that.

Can anyone help me?
I installed WC3 it starts and i can play so that's good.
I made an account on the forum and downloaded the wc3connect desktop app and i can see the games in the app so all good till here.
But now comes the problem i select a game in the app it goes green so i start my WC3 TFT but i can't see any games.
I also tried from the site to connect and waited for the square to make green, opened the game still can't see any game in LAN.
Am i doing something wrong or what is going on i really have no idea why can t i see the games in LAN area.

I think it will still crash, but I added a print statement at the beginning so it will be useful to see whether or not that print statement shows up.
If it does show up, I will add more print statements and we can figure out exactly what is causing it to fail.
Also maybe play around with different compatibility settings like run as administrator.
Unfortunately I was not able to replicate it on Windows 7 64-bit.
There is no installation step, it is supposed to just run.

• Run the debug version from Command Prompt (see viewtopic.php?f=4&t=135760&p=525718#p525718)
• Take a screenshot of the Command Prompt and PM it to me
• What OS are you on? (e.g. Windows 7 64-bit)
• Can you go Start Menu -> type "Command Prompt" -> in the black window write "ipconfig" and then PM me screenshot of what it says.

@LittleBigBang How can someone steal your username? Once you register a WC3Connect from the app, no one can steal it.

@LittleBigBang you can login with your forum password. Or at least what your forum password was on 2018-10-14.
It's only people who created forum account after 2018-10-14 who would not automatically get WC3Connect with the same name.
