Have you tried clicking on the E symbol from Games tab so that the game appears at top of list? Does it appear in the games list at all?

If you're trying to host on the lan side. Do you have Windows 7?
Have you tried this? Goto Control Panel -> Windows Firewall. On the left view pane you'll see "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall" Click on it.
Now you will want to click on "Allow Another Program" on the bottom. Scroll down and Select "Warcraft III - Frozen Thong" and while you're at it also "Warcraft III" as well. After you selected both. Hit "Okay" Exit out of your screens. Now try hosting on the Lan side and see if your other computer can see the lan game. This should fix it. Also, you may want to do the same thing to the other computer as well. So that you both can host from either computer.
Hope this helps.

+would like to mention this is only for Local Area Network games only. Not actual Bnet host. If you go that route you may want to get the ENT Client.
