Hi all,
Since the 1.30 update, warcraft crashes unexpectedly after 10-15min of playing on ENT. I played on OHS and it happened as well. Any idea why? I am using a MAC and in the past I never had such issue. They told me it is a Blizzard issue, however does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks

Re: Warcraft crashes unexpectedly
It's the same for all, it will not be fixed until blizzard decide to fix it. You can't do anything to prevent it, unless you are talking about DESYNC. This is fixed if you update to the latest mac os (High Sierra) which is free in the App store.
Re: Warcraft crashes unexpectedly
Ive been having random dc's where WC3 closes and a window pops up saying something about an unexpected error. Not at 15 min, just randomly later in game (only since new patch, and not on a mac)
anyone hear about next patch?

Re: Warcraft crashes unexpectedly
Hello,
Check out this thread that I created shortly after the patch release: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=132416
So far from my knowledge (you can test this out on LAN), crashes for MAC users are triggered by certain actions such as bottling a rune/coin in DotA. Other triggers are even more obscure. But random chain of events eventually lead to the game crashing for MAC users. I am also an OSX user and have been staying off of ENT bannable games.
The solution is simple:
(1) Map developers update the maps to become viable for the 1.30 patch
(2) ENT uses a different version of the map that is confirmed to have less crashes
(3) Wait for Blizzard to fix the issues (this will take quite a bit because MAC users are the minority and do not have a large voice when it comes to urging for a fix with Blizzard's developers)
So I think that you should just stay off of ENT bannable games or explore other custom maps that don't have crashes. Other favorites that I play on are "Custom Hero Footies" and "Werewolf Transylvania" and "Vampirism [Fire]." Those are all confirmed as non-crashing custom games for MAC users. I've played about 50 games among the 3 and have experienced 0 crashes since patch 1.30.
Thanks,
