i knew a guy who could steal cd keys from internet clubs. ask in some nerd forum and you'll get the answer (about finding your key)

I've tried every method provided here, set both RoC & TFT to run as admin by default, tried downloading via different bnet Realms, disabled firewalls etc. but it's not working for me or my roommate. Connection has never been an issue with updates. For me it temporarily seems like a Blizzard issue and cba trying any more method

+1

right click and running game as admin allowed me to apply the patch (not the same as setting run as administrator in properties it seems).
After patch applied itself i got an error and couldn't even start the game, so i went to the game folder and started the bnupdate.exe or such file which reapplied the patch and this time worked so game runs without problems now. Still cant connect to ent bots but thats a bot side problem :)

The new patch isnt working for anyone in general, no matter what you do lol. Running as admin still wont help sadly so i guess we're gonna have to wait and see what the hell blizzard does to fix this mess

Running as admin + changing my connection to USEast solved the problem for me. Just btw.

Yeah, patch is working as long as you run in Admin, and only bots not showing up on Battle.net are ENT, but thats soon to be remedied.

If you somehow got a patch error and can't find a solution around it, try removing your WC3 entirely, then go here (http://us.battle.net/en/)

1. Register
2. Login & Redeem your WC3 Keys
3. Download Game Client from there

Anyone else who had wc3 freeze during the "user saved data migration" part? I wasn't being asked to patch yesterday, now this is as far as I get after running as admin.

Edit: actually it somehow just un-froze while I was tabbed down. Wc3 was not responding.

Since this thread is spammed / started before blizzard finished patching, will archive.
