I always used firefox while using entconnect before. I have never been able to get any other browser besides firefox to work with java right to run entconnect. A few days ago firefox stopped running entconnect for me too. I don't see anything, no square of any color, no error messages or anything. I have tried it with internet explorer, firefox, chrome, all giving me the same outcome, nothing. I have read the wiki page and entgaming and the other site are allowed in my java settings.

Having a similar issue! It seemed to stop working for me after Firefox updated. Java is up to date, and I have the permissions set. Any thoughts on what to try next would be appreciated.

Which PC are you people running? Have you also tried downgrading your browser version? since you, Nuhaine, stated that once Firefox updated it stopped working.

Can you also tell me if you recently installed any new software, program, extension e.t.c before the incident?

Well, I fixed the issue and I can tell you details on it.

Firefox did upgrade that dumps java plug-ins(every1 here has that problem and many more that dont bother posting) so there are 3 solutions:
a)Get older firefox version and constantly stop it from updating
b)Get new browser(somehow it worked with Maxthon3.0 after some tinkering)
c)The thread you posted: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=106759 which I haven't tested but likely works easier than the above 2

Any updates? Did you guys try and of the fixes?

I use Firefox with ENTConnect. I followed the above recommended fix's (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=106759) along with installing ESR for Firefox. This did not fix my inability to connect with ENTConnect, still have issues saying Java is not installed (even after uninstalling, reinstalling newest version). I think now downgrading might be the only option left. Does anyone have both the firefox version along with the java version to install to get ent working again?

No, however, try this;

Find out which Firefox version you're using (https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Install- ... /ta-p/1864)

Uninstall your Firefox and get an older one (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/).

Do the same procedure on Java if needed.

I have attempted to install version Firefox 50, and 49. ENTConnect still has a "install java" issue. No issues with "about:addons" also. Any further ideas? Do I need to delete registry items after uninstalling? Old versions still have carry over information like bookmarks and I feel maybe other information is carrying over as well.

Did you try the same thing for Java?

Also when you downgraded your Firefox I hope you uninstalled and removed everything associated with it.

Firefox v.52 is the beginning of Firefox not supporting NPAPI and limited to Adobe Flash only.

Also, you can try this as well (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/ (or try a different browser)).

Had a similar problem (my Java was broken). After a few tweaks I used the *remove tool* from java and reinstalled it from scratch. I then started using it on IE and had no problems since.

Anyone have a link without registration for an older version of Java? I am using Firefox 49.0.1. Java version 8 update 121. ENTConnect still not working for me.

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 39210.html includes older versions, but registration is needed to download.

UPDATE:
Switched to Internet Explorer and ENTConnect working again.
