Hello,

I was wondering what is the current situation with ENT Gaming, as I have noticed that from 2 years ago the number of Bots hosting has been dwindling and also noticed slower waiting times when hosting a game.

Is there a lack of funds for maintaining so many bots.

Also is there a limit to how many individual people can be hosting at a certain time? As now it seems people are barely hosting but when I check the queue there are a handfull of people. I remember seeing up to 8-9 games hosted back in the day?

There are fewer bots at the moment due to Blizzard banning the CD keys that the bots use.
Once the bots are back up more games will be available, you can speed up the process by donating CD keys if you wish :P

Why would they be banning the bots? How come they didn't ban all of the bots?

The bots currently running have a private cd key that people donated to us. I don't know how was it before and I don't understand it either rly but it's the way it is and there's not much we can do.

The only way blizzard knows about bots is by their reconnecting interval and uptime.

Considering most bots are malicious (spamming), they chose to ban them. Due to our infrastructure, bots tried to reconnect with different cd-keys which made blizzard ban them.
We have changed both aspects and are now mostly operating okay again.

Even if the situation gets better again, it is unlikely for ENT to have as many bots as before simply because the need is no longer there (player base decreasing, cough).
