Hey Guys,

I usually play DotA LoD here and have been playing WC3 for 13 years now and LoD for 7 years ... I recently updated to Win10 and am fairly good with computers (I'm a Computer Engineer) ... But in just one day after installing Win10 ... I have the following observations

When I am Alt Tabbed ... I crashed 4-5 times in 8-9 games
When i am in game, it plays fine till end.

Let me know if u guys have same observations ...

I don't observe the same thing.

Experiencing the same problems. Even more frequently. Out of 7 tries so far to join a game, I managed to join 1. I'm losing connection (supposedly) to battlenet and I cant even rejoin. Do you use gproxy too?

I'm not seeing any issues with W3 & WIN10.

Try playing in Window Mode.

I still have issues ... n my game drops n i get banned for some time ... very annoying.

here is some additional info ... I have a Creative EAX 2.0 based Audio Card 7 it happens when i Alt tab to play musuc or watch videos on a browser ... this is not intermittent, i can reproduce the issue all the time.

So, I have had over 20 crashes in 3 days ... attached are crash logs. This seems to be a Video Memory misconfiguration issue between war3 and Video Drivers after Win10 install.

Idk reinstall gfx card driver?

I have display issues with WC3, such as the brightness will not change.

FYI ... I did a lot of research on this issue and discovered that this is a very common symptom but the root causes are very different.

For me it turned out that the Fog Click Detector (Anti-MH Tool I use for GH) was not working with Win10, so once I got rid of it the game works perfectly fine. It was the Fog Click Detector which was trying to read out of bounds memory.

@Kokufu: You brightness will not change is not an issue ... I have the same situation and I aware why I have it, for you it could be due to a different cause but for me it is because I am overriding WC3 GFX settings with custom settings in the nVidia Driver to make the game look better. When you do this the game loses control of certain settings which includes Gamma (Brightness) calibration.

I have AMD not NVidia so I cannot do what you are doing, I am already at high performance anyways. Also, the gamma is an issue for me, I cannot play certain games with it being so dim.

Do you know where this is posted at? I know it isn't on ENT but I would like to know so I can reply to it or vote on it so that it can be fixed faster.

I am playing lod with windows 10 and am not experiencing any problems. Alt tab is actually faster for me now.
