Troubleshooting by color
If you are having issues with security warnings, see https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=8417.
The ENT Connect applet turns different colors to show different error messages. This guide will help to determine what the problem is based on those colors. Note: if the applet doesn't load at all, then that means that you need to update your Java version to >= 5.0. It is recommended that you either use 6.0 or 7.0. OpenJDK works fine if you have the latest version of it.
Also, if you don't click "Run" when the security warning pops up, then the applet won't be able to create the server socket that allows you to connect to games. If you don't want to show the security warning in the future, you should check the checkbox and then click Run.
Lastly, make sure to set your username in LAN to be the same as your forum username or you may experience desyncs.
Red: you're most likely already running an instance of ENT Connect. Closing and then re-opening your web browser should do the trick. Specifically, the problem is that the server socket to which you will connect to join games could not be initialized. Note: newer ENT Connect versions will automatically try to solve this, so waiting a while might be enough to fix it.
Orange: this is a weird error (UDP socket couldn't be initialized), but try the above
Blue: this isn't an error, it just means that you successfully connected. If it turns blue but you are not able to join the game then there was a problem in connecting to the server, and you might have to disable some firewalls or something.
Pink: there was an error while accepting your connection. Probably related to the red error.
Cyan: the applet couldn't retrieve the game list from the website. If you continue to see this for a long period of time, check to make sure that you can access the website.
Yellow: the applet didn't do anything yet. If it stays yellow, try refreshing the page or something.

Re: Troubleshooting by color
Me too. At first I had a yellow and then a square turned in green color. But when I entered in warcraft, square turned blue and I saw hosts. But I couldn`t enter in game.
Re: Troubleshooting by color
I can't see my host. When I host my map, I only see it on the game list, but when I get into Warcraft, I couldn't see it anywhere. (hosting region : Antlata (U.S East)) Please help me fix this. I tried Ent connect but it didn't help.
