Multibox Rule in LTD

Hello Guys, i wanna discuss here about the Multibox rule in LTD.

I get a Ban for it so i wont do it anymore but thats not the discussion here...

The main thing is, as long as you play in the same Team you havent any Advantage to other Players.
Its not like u use Maphack and see other units or anything. Its like you play with a Buddy in Teamspeak.

So there are only disadventages because sending and building in Lategame is really hard with 2 Accounts then 2 Players with each 1 Account.

So where is the Point that this is denied? Its just a harder Challenge to play with 2 Accounts and nothing else.

So in my Oppinion the Rule should be called: *edit
Do not multibox to play in one (and the same) game in opponent Teams. Using two computers/two accounts to be in one (and the same) game in opponent Teams as one human being is not allowed.

or if you want let the Original Rule be because of other Games:
LTD Rule: (not for 1200+ for sure...)
Multiboxing is allowed aslong as you play in the same Team.

A big problem with one person controlling 2 accounts in one and the same game is that you got 2 votes. This ruines the draw and votekick system and you cant regulate this somehow as it's impossible for the bot to see if you're multiboxing or just 2 people playing on the same IP.

In my opinion LTD is a team game and multiboxing works against this.

Why dont you want it to be allowed on 1200+ aswell?


On pup bots your team is sometimes the hardest challange and your enemy have to deal with it to. When you control 2 accounts you would be able to call send in most games as you already got 2 votes when it comes to decide when to send. Your team dont see if you're multiboxing or not (in most cases). While you can have a simpler teamplay your enemy still have to deal with each other and coordinate a team of 4 people, you're only 3 people. That's a huge advantage ! You see it as advantage when you play with your friends right? Because less noobs and all? That's actually the biggest advantage you get as a multiboxer(in the same team) IMO.

But then you should forbid also to make premade Teams. We almost play in a team of 4 Players, sometimes 3 and i played the 4th with my second acc... This made never a differnce in the Gameplay. We choose what we wanna do and we do it, no matter if my voice counts as 1 or as 2...
And its also not a rellay problem with the Voting System aslong as you have guys that respect the Rules. If i dont Vote in the meaning of the Rules i will get banned... I think that isnt a really point to denie that because of Voting system...

1200+ is another league... you can handle the disadventage of playing 2 accs on euro and mega bot because of crossing... but you cant handle the disadvantage in 1200+ when you cant cross...

If you count it as Adventage to have 1 noob less in your team... well you cant count that... Or there would need to be an Autobalance for EVERY game...

Since you aren't really informed about the connections and background of the rules and policies, I will try to explain a bit. While the moderators can give you a few reasons why certain rules exist, they usually dont provide everything.

Smurfing aka alting is allowed and doesn't have anything to do with multi-boxing. It is one of many ways achieving the goal of multi-boxing. How you boost your stats (which is forbidden either way) doesn't matter.

Pre-teaming is not allowed in certain games where it's an all-vs-all mode (e.g. civ wars). In legion td, it is perfectly fine playing as a team and it is actually part of the game to properly communicate in order to win. The difference here is that you not only steal one "free" spot by multiboxing but also risk playing worse due to having to control two builders and thereby not playing fairly to your full potential.

It seems like players literally don't care about their enemies/opponents as long as they themselves follow the rules. Would you like playing a game knowing half of the opponents aka one guy can't play to his fullest skill? I doubt.

There are many more reasons why we forbid multi-boxing, starting from ghosting, to game ruining other boosting stats and occupying a slot. Bnet is not for you to play as two; if you want that, you can play off-line and play as four vs bots.

Rule will remain.

To add:

You suggested to allow multiboxing on the same team. This suggestion is denied because if you are crossing with yourself or you are playing solo on the same team, you are gaining an unfair advantage. If I cross with myself and multibox, I will do a lot better compared to average pub teammates whom I do not know of. Each player slot is entitled to different players.
