I used to play the auto balanced apem modes. I would like to again, but it seems to me, that these games no longer start since the introduction of the 15 game minimum.
Can I ask how many balanced games start per day? How about the new anti alias games that also have a minimum requirement?
If the number is too low, than, perhaps the game requirements aren't working out.
The way I viewed the mode, is more of sp mode. It moved players based on their elo. High elo players would rarely join because they stack, and/or "play with friends" and/or want to win, and/or would be "stuck" with the bottom of the barrel. Elo is more an indication of the number of games able to win in a row, rather than an indication of skill (to me).
I understand why the restriction was placed, but for some reason it isn't working. Can we remove it to breathe some life into these modes? Or
introduce new ones like sp that would prevent stacking, or at least less lopsided games. I doubt I'm the only one who joined for the anti stack factor. Also it might be better to add sp before the balancing, it was too easy to stick with a friend.
Thank you.

Re: A-bal modes
One of the following few things, can probably be tried.
The minimum wins/games requirement removed, so we go back to the way it was.
Lower the requirement to 5 wins or games.
Host 2 sets with and without the restriction.
Or just add a random shuffle players mode to see if players like it.
I think lifting the restriction will be the best thing, as it hasn't helped with the HR games either.

Re: A-bal modes
Without the 15 game requirement, you'd get tons of smurfs who join it because they can have easy games for 15 free elo.
Re: A-bal modes
You would get Smurfs there is no denying that, but we would just be going back to the way it was. I do not think the restriction stopped smurfs from easy Elo, it is just as easy to to get 10-20 in a euro or regular AP game with a little screening. Smurfs will Smurf just as noobs will feed and cry, facts of life to accept.
I think all the restriction did was move the smurfs to other games, not make it harder for them to get Elo. And the wait times became too long for players, so less of people joined.
The battle vs smurfs is lost, as the hr games are proving. But the battle vs stackers does not have to be. MODs, please reconsider the restriction. Ask if you still believe that removing it will give more free Elo to players than they already get.
EDIT:
would it be possible to have the bot balance on criteria other than Elo? Can it balance based on something like the dv point system or kdr? This would more accurately display an individual players skill, rather than wins.

Re: A-bal modes
KDR would be heavily biased towards carry heroes... the goal is to win the game, so W/L is the only thing from which it is sensible to measure skill.
A-BAL requirement should be five wins now.
