Can you be more specific..? Like there are bugs in current map too.

The new lod map has many more bugs and errors and isn't even from the original creator. It is a bad map in general. Some moves got nerfed, some new moves are just ridiculous.


Yes, I'd like to know what the new bugs & errors are as well. Many of the bugs & glitches found in 6.74c were fixed in the current release.

As for it not being Lord Shinjo - I don't think any creator has done more than 1 LoD map - ever since LoD was born, every 6-12 months someone kindly picks up the project & updates LoD to the current version of DotA. Am I wrong here?

Again, I've seen a few posts about moves being nerfed/unhappy with empowering haste not giving dmg, etc.... This has nothing to do with LoD or the map creator of the current version. The skills have simply been made current, updated to the reflect the current map of DotA. The skill/item/hero changes were made by IceFrog - simply nothing to do with LoD.

As far as the nerf on rearm goes (big change) - I don't see that as being much of an issue. I mean, how imba is roc/rearm, reincar/rearm? I think that nerf is legitimate.

Bugs & glitches are one thing, but simply being displeased by skill & hero changes...I can't see that as a valid argument.

My only huge beef with the new version is the Xin glitch being so OP and so easy to use. I wish they would just disallow picking sleight of fist if they can't fix the bugs on it. We can't pick exorcism because its bugged (I imagine?) but nobody seems to care about that one, what's wrong with having one more semi-decent skill that u can't pick?

There are also many bugs that go along with Nightstalker passives and transformations, If I go into troll form nightstalker disables like the passive just goes away completely I do not like that at all.

I agree that should be fixed. I thought it was fixed for the current map? Either way, if it's the same bug from 6.74c - it's something we've been used to for awhile.

Yep, I've experienced that first hand. No fun. That being said, if we're talking about a bug surrounding one skill, that's hardly a reason to deny the community over a years worth of map updates - items, heros, abilities, functionality, etc... Every LoD map has bugs & the player base has always adapted to them over the years. I see it the same in this situation.

I don't the issue? Xin glitch was bannned in 6.74c, so it would just still be banned - yes?

Can we please go back to the new version? I didn't notice any of these gamebreaking glitches while I played, so they can't be terribly prevalent.

I agree, but let's keep in mind that the energy & resources surrounding LoD is not the same as Reg DotA. LoD has to my knowledge, has never been bug free. This is the price we as players have paid (and will continue to pay imho) as long we're playing a map that is dependent on the development of another (DotA). It's not that the expectation is unfair or unreasonable, it's just not realistic.

Plus, I strongly suggestion you reading the official thread on playdota.com - x pages of bugs, reports and other stuffs which doesn't work as it should.

Can you please provide a link?

Thanks for the info, I3omb. There is a lot of good info, yet there is little mention of bugs. Looks like the changelog hasn't been updated to reflect the v2j yet. However, if the only major bugs we're talking about here are XIN/Sleight of Fist (banned combo in 6.74c) & Hunter in the Night/Transformations, I can't see that warranting the community not being being able to enjoy the new map. Perhaps we can host both versions - get feedback from the community? I think there's enough ENT LoD bots to support that, yes?
