While suicide is against the rules, Xil has a point, the leaving rule also encourages riskier gameplay (which may not be a bad thing long term for the game's balance) and that risk can lead to a suicide like death.

But how do you determine suicide? Should every builder who dies at mid while golding be banned for suiciding? It's not really an enforceable rule.

Suicide is determined by a multitude of factors, mainly if it's seen as blatant. That however is irrelevant to this rule.

The main idea behind builder leaving is to discourage such. Before this rule implementation, it was abused and went unpunished for a very long time. However, as I've stated in this topic, the rule exceptions aren't necessary. The staff took a great deal of time and effort coming up with these rules and is now regularly enforced. The exception being mentioned will only further reasons as to why player x can leave when it's clear we made this rule to prevent such.

I believe it's better that the staff keep the rule the way it is and in-fact change the Titan addition of it rather than the initial proposal.

Titan may not leave within the first 15 minutes of spawning, unless it has been explicitly stated by another player that they are willing to take over Titan, or at least 3 alive builders have already left the game or become an observer from not picking.

Not necessary anymore, given the newest update has introduced an "xp increase" for titans/minions upon builder leaves.

So, the currently implemented version of the missing player feed only works so long as the player chose to go observer or left the game before picking a builder. It does NOT actually increase if the player has left the game.

I still feel the clarification suggested should be made official.

I honestly don't see a reason to add any clarifications.

ID community has known what a leaver means since ENT started to host Island Defense. Just because we made a new rule to stop builders from ruining games, does not mean that you can throw away all common sense.

Once again it seems that ID players just want to troll and cause unnecessary drama.

You all know what a leaver is and what constitutes as leaving too early. Stop making things overly complicated.

Processing.
