If we can't trust a moderator to make a decision on a ban, then they shouldn't be a moderator.
  • Map-hack Ban Requests are processed by two moderators.
  • Ban Requests made by users are processed normally by a single moderator.
  • Other "Ban Requests" are posted by moderators so that there is an electronic "paper trail" (in addition to the trail admins can see of a list of all moderator actions) aka if they want to ban a user for greater than say 2 days, they must post a Processed Ban Request so that there is a proper electronic "paper trail". We established a policy where most bans should have a corresponding Ban Request for transparency and so users have a link to why they were banned. It is not the fact that they are just "processing their own requests", it is an added layer of protection/information to users that we added.
