Enable "Thank" feature on processed threads

Look, a lot of the staff work that goes on here is pretty unheralded, pretty thankless. Currently once a staff member processes a thread, the community cannot use the 'thank you' feature due to the processed sections of the forum having restricted permissions. That means that a vast quantity of staff members' labour is literally unthankable. Seems to me it would provide motivation to staff members if they could rack up "thanked" points for the work they are doing. How difficult would it be to enable "thank author" permissions in the processed sections? And is there any reason *NOT* to reduce the thanklessness aspect of this work? :D

This is based on what I know, and is by no means the truth.

I believe they don't implement such technical features anymore.

But being able to thank a post after it got processed doesn't sound that bad.

I've wanted to thank ENT posts with that little thumbs up for a while now. I also will thank ENT with money sometimes.

Why not just pm them? Why does a button have to be clicked and a count increased by one for people to express thankfulness? Back in my day, people would thank each other with words. Get off my lawn.

We do not perform such technical implementations at the moment.
