[LTD] 1200+ dc abuse

Postby Atros » Tue Jun 20, 2017 6:38 pm

Can't find if there exist some topic with similar theme, but, as you all know, many players avoiding at [LTD] 1200+ losing elo by plugg out at point they realise it's a lost game, and since everyone respect draw in 1200+ every time it end by draw and as it self give a card to avoid lose elo, now, my suggestion would be, -10 elo for every dc, some players says it should be 50% of lose elo, but than again it wouldn't change anything, better to lose 50% than full elo right? but -10 elo hurt enough to prevent players use plugg out and force them to play till end. This would solve many dc in 1200+, ofc some players will say it's unfair to players who rly have dc, but there is gproxy they can use and even beside that it's panality that would bring more good than those few "unfair" -10 lose.

First of all, those disconnections (pulling plug) are being handled by autobanex, which considers the amount of game the player disconnects from, etc. So that already get a penalty for that. Furthermore, I highly doubt that this is even a matter. I have never really seen a game where someone pull the plug intentionally because it is a sure loss since, usually, people do not draw when the game is a sure win.

ELO is the representation of one's skills, not a representation of one's internet quality.

Though, the autoban for LTD d/c is two days, more than enough to discourage such intentional disconnections.

Denied.
