[Dota] Stealing middle lane

Hello,

As you may know there is a Legion rule that states:
"Refusing to cooperate when asked to do so several times by sending alone and not save-send with teammates to win."

I believe that there should be a similar rule for dota, that could be written like:
"Refusing to cooperate when asked by the majority of the team to leave middle lane to another more suitable player."

Dota is a team game, and it's a shame that some 500 elo 0 KDR player could go middle lane to ruin the farm and make their entire team lose.
Obviously, if only 2 players are arguing about the middle lane, it should not be an offense.
But if the majority (at least 3/5 players) do not want someone middle, it should be considered game ruining for him to stay there.

This could be extended to some important moment of the game, where the entire team should listen to the vote of the majority (for instance: who takes aegis) ...

Best regards,
Quentin.

this could be argued that a group of 3 friends force people out of middle so one of them can practice on it, also then people will want the rule to include woods solo lanes ancients etc
it also provides no place for newer players to learn how to use the lanes as they will be snatched up by the "pros" and forced into whatever lane is unwanted

Lanes should stay as first-come, first serve; no claiming lanes before game starts.

If two or players don't want the lane they have, they should work it out like any other player. If that doesn't work out, then it's time for players to learn a new lane.

Then why it is forbidden in Legion game or allowed in dota?
In LTD, anyone can be noob but not listening to your team (even if you believe that your strategy is better) is prohibited.
Why 3 friends can tell in Legion game what to do to someone even if he does not want to do so? And not in dota?

It has nothing to do with hating noobs or so...
Bad players are welcome and can play.

It's just that it is a team game and you should listen to your team, no matter if you like it or not.

Because in one, a player can severely injure a team's chances of winning without the others being able to do much to salvage, while in the other players can change lanes at any given time to save their teammate.

I usually either stay with the pub to babysit them & tell the better one who wants to mid, to go either top or bot so they can solo. But in most cases, it's pretty rare. I wouldn't make a rule for it.

I would support this as long as there are at least 3 people on a team that clearly think the person shouldnt go mid.

One can adjust and solo in top or bot lane. We are talking here about a selfish intransigent unflexible player. Voting him out of the lane may (or may not) get him out of the lane, but it wont fix selfish intransigent unflexible. Now add angry to the mix and the effect on the remaining 50 minutes of gameplay is not hard to imagine. Also mob rule is seldom a good answer, and even though it may be a smallish mob of only 3, there is no guarantee that their opinion is the more correct one.

Meh. Too many factors to consider in DotA as opposed to LTD. The initial reasoning isn't also convincing either, no one should be looked upon any less because of their elo/KDR, especially when it comes to rules.

This.

If you want competitive games where the noob will go bot/top and best player mid, then just play DIHL. When it comes to pub games, no one has priority over the solo lane. Even noobs should be allowed to go middle and learn how to solo. If they are just being 'selfish intransigent unflexible' players to quote BeerLord, then they will also break other rules along the way such as trolling, game ruining, refusal to cooperate (defend, stay with team), etc. When they've reached this point, then they may receive a ban, but not 1 minute into the game simply because they wanted to go middle.
