Reducing required ELO on ENT31

Hey,

i wanted to get some input and thoughts on a topic regarding the Legion TD 1200+ Bot.
With our community getting smaller the number of games that start there went down by a lot too.

What do you think about decreasing the ELO to 1100+.
This would increase the (possible) playerbase by more then 50%.

Considering the current metas in ENT18 are way more different from whats played in 1200+ then it used to be 3+ years ago its not like you can really learn how to play the "1200+ way"/normal way there at all.

Feel free to share your thoughts on it and if you are against it or supporting it.

Imo on Mega Bot should be the same rules what are on 1200+ . In that case players start learning to play on rules on 1200+ games . Most games in Mega looks like this : Crossing , merging , crossing , merging ... Without stack it is impossible to hit 1200 ELO.

what about a 1050 elo bot with 1200 rules gets the mega boys to learn no mid before coming to 1200

Elo is not as important as the game mode. I already suggested on a nother place to let nm mode be default on mega. People can change it if they wish to cross. This is the solution I would prefer. To bring both metas closer together by letting people play the game how it is balanced.

The other solution imo would be to remove the elo limit entirely and just have two bots with different rulesets.
There are rarely any new players coming along, so freeing the 1200+ bot entirely from elo limitations would be ok perhaps.

I like the idea, people can get more easily into no mid mode games if they don't like the mega environment.

As the gameplays differs pretty drastrically it makes no sense having such a high elo restriction.

On the other hand I wouldn't entirely remove the elo limitation. The 1200 games are bit more competitive, I don't think it would be a good idea to let new players dive right into 1200. Let them get to know the game in mega first.

I would add a suggestion myself, namely, to change the game name from LTD MEGA 1200 (or whatever it is now) into LTD MEGA NO MID or something like that. Let them know something is different. There's no point in putting 1100 or 1200 in the name because you get that message in the lobby if you enter it but don't have the elo for it.

I think if ppl wanna play in 1200+ must learn the rules . So the rules on mega and 1200+ should be the same.

Seriously should take no mid mode as normal mode into consideration. People could still change the mode to mid by announcing it in the lobby but see that

-the game is balanced for no mid
-it is more friendly to new players, easy to get in, hard to master
-stop this endless fighting on the bot who is gonna merge whom
-cross and merge is a meta that breaks the game and it shouldnt be the deault mode

+ on the idea change mega to -phgmcbnm normal mode no issue dropping the 1200 elo to 1150 or even 1100

I'd also like the mega bot to be changed to -nm mode. If someone wanna do a merge/cross game they can announce it in lobby.

No its not better . Then ppl go to 1200+ bot and they dont know how to play , cuz on MEGA always play cross/merge.

They dont want to learn it man. They want to play as easy as possible and abuse the game mechanics. For some reason this is more fun for 99% of mega, idk why.. I played 10 games with -phgmcbnm last 4 days i met maybe 1-2 players that was willing to listen to advices regarding push/build hold/yolo etc

Hmmm so maybe we can try something like that : Vouch Req for 1200+, if some one wanna join they must have support from players who playing on 1200+ . If that player will get to 1200+ community , for start he automatically get hmmm 1250 ELO. If vouched ppl are good they will stay on 1200+ bot .
