On the website when you go into the "games" tab and you can see all games, there is an option to not see dota games and also to not see empty lobbies, which I think is a great idea!
However, I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a similar idea for displaying games in LAN in wc3. For example, you could have advanced settings on the ENT connect tab, where you could check options such as "do not display dota games," "do not display empty lobbies" or even perhaps "only display dota games," or "do not display autohosted games," and perhaps other options.
The main reason for my suggestion is that in the LAN window, due to wc3 mechanics there can only be 30 (or so) games displayed at a time. However, ent bot hosts a lot more games than that (which is an awesome thing!!), so a lot of the times I have to wait while playing on Entconnect for my LAN to refresh itself many times to see the game I want to play, or have to go through games and reopen ent connect, which is somewhat of a hassle.
I also understand if the suggestion would be difficult to implement, however I thought I'd throw it out there at least

Sounds like a great suggestions although I am not an ENT connect user myself. I think this would definitely improve the usability of ENT connect and encourage more people to use it.

Re: Ent Connect Displaying games
Have you tried clicking the E icon next to a game in the web games list? That should open up an ENT Connect instance that displays the specific game at the top.
Also ENT Connect should always display games that you've played before at the top.

When u click on E .. if u had Entconnect already opened .. either Lobby doesn;t refresh .. or whenever u join u get sent back to lobby and it refresh. for 1-2 minutes
if entconnect was closed .. it takes around 1-2 minutes to open it and Go to local area and game to display.

Re: Ent Connect Displaying games
Clicking that "e" icon does work for me, however like I believe I said in my post, it takes time to alt tab out of warcraft, look for an interesting games, and then restart entconnect, go out of warcraft LAN (at least to the main menu) and go back, wait around 10 seconds to refresh... The whole process takes few minutes sometimes, which sometimes results in the game starting before I finish doing all of that.
It is pretty cool that recently played games display at the top, however, if there's a map hosted by someone through the website (the ENT link tab) the only way to see it, is either waiting 10 minutes for the game list to refresh many times or by clicking on the E icon, which as I said in the previous paragraph, takes a long time, sometimes long enough for the game to start before I'm done. If I was able to turn off the display of maps I don't really want to play, I could see the games hosted through website in my LAN window, instead of having to alt tab every time I wanted to check out any player hosted maps.
Perhaps it wouldn't be too difficult to give an option for the user to display certain maps at the bottom of their list, maybe instead of the check options I mentioned in the original post, in the games tab there could be a button to the right to "favorite" and "unfavorite" a host, as well as "dislike" and "undislike" a host. Favoriting would send the given host to the top of the display and disliking could send it to the bottom. It would be sort of the way it is now, except there would have to be an additional option of maps going to the bottom of the list and instead of ENT automatically "favoriting" a host, players could choose to do it by hand

Nope, displaying still works the same way.
