Quality against Quantity.

Postby m4dnix » Mon Nov 05, 2012 9:45 am

So guys, i am getting used to know more and more about ENT Community, since i have plans to apply for the Staff team, i've noticed that you requires all of us to have at least 25 posts as a minimum requirement when it comes up to posts.

What i wanted to suggest is.. I've been part of some BIG gaming communities, and i know how that stuff works actually, but i truly dislike your rule about this one, guys, quality of Forum is what really matters to true and loyal players, not the quantity, i mean, you can have 100 posts each day, but what do i have to do with it there is no value on those posts?
I can also understand that you would like to keep the Forum active and have us players posting and keeping it active.. But in my head, that is a bad move, why? For example: I have been here for a couple of days already, i got used to know stuff about forum and i got familiar with it, but i am not going to rush into threads and spam just to hunt 25 posts so i can apply for the Staff team, that is the main reason why i am suggesting you to look over quality, not QUANTITY! to solve this problem, you can add some more useful categories/topics at the Forum, something that we can discuss about, share our knowledge with other members of ENT community, informations, videos, pictures,news.. and so on.

My first suggestion about auto-balanced games turned out to be a good move.

I hope that this one will be heard and read again..

Note: I am sorry if there are any grammar errors, my main language isnt English, but i am trying my best to make it as much readable as it can be.

Regards, m4dnix.

You have to have two weeks of activity on forum, if you're helping with and commenting on ban requests and appeals then you should have that much before you apply for staff. People who make spam posts do not become moderators.

I agree that the post's needs to contain some value. As do the rest of the team. But then again, we don't want some guy who's just good at typing, we need a people who are willing to do some footwork/legwork whatever the metaphor is.

Well said mate, thanks for the answer, thats what i was wondering, because i have seen some people saying that they will spam forum everyday just to reach those posts.

Just FYI, if you read the Moderator Application, it says that already...

Honestly your posts don't mean much. It's really what you can offer to help the staff team. Your post count is just a prerequisite and gives us an idea whether you know what you are talking about and not just listing things you claim to know.
