@nabo.The available modes, in order from the easiest to the most challenging, are Easy, Normal, Medium, Hard, Jurassic, and Jurassic II. The available game lengths are 45 minutes, 60 minutes, and 1 hour 20 minutes. I propose standardizing the game mode to Jurassic II, 1 hour 20 minutes.
The topmost player on the player list, usually the red player, chooses the game mode, and right now there are too many noobs and afkers taking up the red spot and end up either picking easy modes or not picking any mode at all, causing the game to default to normal mode. The main and most important reason why any mode easier than Jurassic II is undesirable is because dinosaurs don't spawn as often in easier modes, so players can't farm enough kills to earn higher jurassic scores, which give a variety of in-game bonuses to the players. Easier modes also mean the most difficult-to-kill dinosaur, the Large Allosaurus, won't spawn, which takes a part of the game away. Lastly, there are a lot of players who would much prefer the micro intensity of playing Jurassic II rather than the laid back style of easy modes. To speak on these players' behalf is also why I'm posting this suggestion. They too have suffered enough from these mode-lying noobs and afkers.
I also propose standardizing the game duration to 1 hour 20 minutes because as I mentioned before, players actually need that much time to farm as many kills as possible so they can earn better jurassic scores. Any duration shorter than 1 hour 20 minutes also prevents late-game dinosaurs from spawning and late-game dinosaur strength increase from happening. Other than the difficulty aspect, there's also a goal aspect behind this proposal. For many players, hopping into the helicopter isn't their only goal. They also need the time to accomplish the other goals of the game, whether it be getting every upgrade in the game, hunting the Barbeque Piggy, destroying all the nests, or the most difficult of all, getting a higher Warcraft score than Player 8. These goals, though not necessary to trigger the winning condition of the game, add a lot of color to the enjoyment of the game.
That's all the reasons I can come up with for now, but I'm sure there are more. To conclude I'd like to assure you this suggestion isn't based solely on my gaming preference, but rather based on the preference of the majority of the Jurassic Park players.
