There is a new map maker and a new dota version. It seems DracoL1ch has taken over with the DotA1 map project.

this map contains all 82-83 changes from Dota2 + dozen bug fixes of original doto + very few different things, mentioned in topic below. Pretty much this is how dota should be looking like according to dota2. All changelogs available at main page. I forgot to update this page tho.
thanks

Seems the map will continually be managed and updates will be consistent with Dota2 updates. I tested most of the stuff. Seems legit.

Updates are based on dota2:
-New hero skills (ex. pl and bs).
-New roshan location.
-Rune spawns: Two spawn at the same time now: a haste/invis/doubledamage/regen/image rune at one side, bounty rune on another side.
-New scepter abilities (ex. gs, sven, phoenix, chen).
-New item(s)
-courier item transfer fixed
-Some terrain changes: more tree paths.
-Balancing: mechanics, hero skills, etc.

Um... this is going to need discussion first.

Edit: I have to say, it's pretty awesome though, that someone would take time to continue maintaining the map.

Yea this has been out for a while I honestly thought you guys knew about it already but refused to host it as its not the official author. I think Icefrog said in a blog somewhere he will be releasing an official 6.83c so it shouldn't be too long before that's out. However Dracos version isn't too bad in the mean time.

Ya I read that.

I have heard for a while that he would stop updating dota1, but we shall see.

Draco's version doesnt seem bad or glitchy. I have yet to play an actual game of 5v5, only tried testing the map with few friends in a private game.

Basically same thing.

Anyway, since I think Icefrog will be delaying dota1 updates or be too into dota2, Draco may as well continue with dota1 map and port from dota2 updates.

Even if icefrog updates, I still think draco's version is better

90% of players don't even visit the forum. Guess you should to implement this for a trial period. That's the only way dis players will comprehend it.
