I have a rather unique suggestion.

I have noticed that stats have made a huge impact on the games that ENT has hosted. Every game that I join, all i see is for example in a legion td mega, !lms matdas and my stats would show. Stats is suppose to track the players games, wins, losses, deaths, kills, assists etc. for individual use. I propose that the !stats command be only for the player themselves.

For example, I could do !lms and my stats would come up, but only visible to me.
If i did !lms Cyb3rpunk the stats would come up empty.

I believe that stats are breaking the games. People are swapping sides away form someone with less elo and what not. It is game breaking and preventing a fair game.

I believe stats are meant for individual use, not for everyone to see. They are for personal records, not to determine what team you should go on. If people want to see where they stand in the public, they can always check the forums for the top 10 players

These are my thoughts.

I have to agree with you. This topic is just an example.
Few weeks ago I was unsure about this but I changed my mind when I realized that even our staff members are stacking. :3

I have a better suggestions: Reset the stats every 2-3 months.
People still have something to be proud of but people will be less serious about it as its only temporary.

It will still cause problems. Within those months, people will still be snooping on stats to find the better players. Stats are for personal use, Not for a means to be on the best team.

It will reduce the incentive to abuse stats.

Not displaying win/loss is an extra step past my suggestion.

So why even put stats if you can't show it up to other, I know I am good, I don't need to see it every single game, other need to see it, it's like sport stats everybody can see it, we see it, coah, boss etc etc. How can you recruit someone for eihl if you don't know his skill. Always go check website? Down wc3 and type correctly the name to see it? Long... If you don't like stats stacking. Go play A-Bal game. There should be this with ltd too. And as I said on an othrr topics, play against stack! more elo the win, and it's not hard to win it, most pf the time (in dota) they getti.g selfish play, trying 1v5 and fail. Then you got a mad "pro" leaving cause he died 3 times without kills. So what I am telling here is, do you hate being with noob? You would like to stay with the good but they swapped side? Every people posting this are this about stats is those who can't play against good elo player that stick together. Sometime 5 good player join then 5 medium. people thi.k its stacking but, they just joined one by one. when people swap side, most of the time i leave, so it fuck up their game . ahahah. To end, stats should just not show up when you join, but when someone !sd it should show it.

I personally have 1 main gripe about stats: I can't get a good game because 'pros' either stack my team or leave.
I just want to play, but I'll either be on a team that is super stacked (which is boring) or players on the other team will leave (which is boring-er).

Wrong. You are the type of person who only sees one side. In pro sports, when playing on the field, you cannot look up peoples stats. That is what I am saying. Can a Mark Sanchez change his team before the game starts because the other team has better offensive line? No. My point is clearly that. I've seen staff stack their teams. It's disgraceful. You are probably one of those who can't win without having 1300+ elo of 5 players on your team.

I play to have fun. Stats? Sure its nice to see other people stats, But it should not dictate what teams they should go on.

Recruitment? Big flipping woop de do. Go on the forums and look them up. Do YOUR job as a recruiter, don't let the bots do it for you.

I have no problems with stats. They are meant for INDIVIDUAL USE not for other players to dictate what team they want to go on. Yes people have friends and they stack that way, i do not mind that.

But to have everyone on Team 1 swap to team 2 because the guy who just joined has 1300+ elo is wrong. Want to check elo? Go on the forums where it is public. What I am saying is that more games are becoming less fun.

This is exactly what i mean.

I have nothing to hide in my stats. !sd should not be allowed in lobby. In-game, sure. But to do it in lobby to see how "pro" or "noob" the players are to switch teams ruins the hole point of stats.

What Nobody is understanding is that people wanted stats to track THEIR OWN stats. Not to dictate what team they play on. This is what you have failed to realize, NutzSucksHard.

This is what the autobalanced games are for. I'd prefer switching more games to autobalanced model rather than removing stats visibility, but there'd have to be a way for friends to play.

To allow friends to play together, just move that stats visibility.
Stats have become more then just stats. THey have become part of the game. It causes people to make new account or ask for resets. If other people can't see them, then there is no need for anymore resets.

I feel that stats were only meant for personal stats, not for every player in the world to see it and move to the "better" team

You just said it. It's a part of the game, otherwise, having bot hosting become ''useless in a sense'' and communities will have nothing better then an other. EnT is very popular regarding the stats we have on multiple game, CivWars/Legion/Dota/Swat etc. If we start making it not visible. I will troll all day and not f*ckin care about not doing it serious. If people stack yes, but it's the only thing that bother you. For the rest, it bring it more competitive, challenging, serious playing, etc. It's like when you go out in a club or for a date. Will you get dressed, make yourself clean, smell good, and looks good or you will go messed up? You want to look great and bring back a girl home's right? It's same with the stats, it make yourself looks good to the others. Period.

The whole point of stats was to track PERSONAL records. Not to become a tool in choosing what teams to be on. You forget that. I bet you stack your teams with your powers since you are defending this so hard.

Everyone wants to win. It's part of the game. Stats, however, have ruined the hole sense of it's meaning. Tracking your own records to see how well you are doing. NOT to see how bad the other players are. You seem all content on seeing how bad players are.

It brings competitiveness? Not at all, I've had players refuse to play because their stats were low and were called "baddies" and "he's a noob, go other team." Stat's is not only ruining games, they are taking out the competitiveness. Why should people play when everyone calls them "noobs," "you suck," "!votekick noob" only to be removed from the game.

Stats is there to track, not to make you change teams out of necessity because you want to be with the "better" players and ditch the "noob" players. I find the level of playfulness on the bots dropped significantly. The hole joy of the game is to have fun playing.

I'll give you an example:
My legion stats are around 26/21. Some games i lost from disconnects, others from mis-communication on heals. However, the fun levels are high when stats are not put into consideration. There was a game where there was a 1400elo player on team 2, 3 people from team one dropped down to team 2. The next 3 players to join's elo are 900, 1020, 750 while the other team's elo is 1400, 1200, 1140, 1100. Is it fair that everyone ditched team 1? No. Stats made the game less fun by having everyone drop the team to be with the "best player."

I'll say it again for your sports analogy:
In American Football, Can Teboe change teams right before the game starts? No.

This may be the way you feel, but to others they like stats to show to other people, not just personal achievement.

ENT doesn't keep stats on Swat, Swat has its own ranking system called RCPD

For instance, in Swat, I go for certain aspects of the game and earn titles and medals for my own personal achievement, but it's also pretty cool that others can see my achievements as well. If I just felt stats should ONLY be viewed by me, I'd just keep my own stats in Excel and be like "oh yeah, I'm super pro got my win rate up to 95%!" But I use the Rank Code Manager (and for DotA/Legion/etc. the ELO stats) so that other people can also see my achievement.

But also, if you don't like stats, you can just host a game with our public-use bots which don't record stats or ELO as far as I know. That way you can get the experience you desire and the people that like getting stats for others to see can play the way they desire.

I see you edited this in. So i shall comment on it.

Stats were meant for the individual player to see how many wins/losses kills/deaths. Not to be a game changer. Stats have made it to the point where there is no point playing. Everyone is now judged off of stats. It is quite ridiculous. I believe that if players stop with the !stats player and focus more on actually playing, the games would be more entertaining. What happens when a 600 elo player kills the 1600 elo player? he gets called "lucky," when in fact he was just killed by pure skill. This causes more rage/drama within the game. Which causes more trolling/flaming. You go ahead and keep stacking your teams nutz. I'm fine with you doing that. Just proves how "noob" you really are. I feel if people want to find other peoples stats, they can use the forums to do so, contact the people they wish to play with, then make their teams to pub smash. But just to swap teams because someone has amazing stats is getting out of control.
