Rule Update

So apparently if you are red in lobby and other people ask you for mode you must announce it, or else you would take ban.
I know I regularly tab out in games that do not fill fast and some people may do it as well since there's music alert when the game starts.
It would be helpful to clarify that you have to announce mode if being asked no matter what in the general rules.

Red is suppose to announce to everyone if he is not going to pick the default mode(s).
If he intends to pick non-default mode and goes afk in lobby and does not answer when asked what mode failing to announce to all, its a ban.
If he intends to pick default mode, does not matter whether he answers or not.
Seems clear enough.

What constitutes as 'failing to announce at all' when asked?

When picking a mode other than the default one (-hpgmcb prophet or -phgmcb), mode setter (red) must announce it in the lobby before the game starts. Every player must be informed, so they have the opportunity to leave in case of dislike.
Rule is about making sure you announce to everyone aka announce that you will play w.e non-default mode when lobby is full or everytime someone joins the lobby.

So the second line is mute as the first line en-captures it.

I'm not talking about LTD, it's for games that does not have a mode restriction

It's the same.
If the default mode for a map is none aka nothing auto-set, then any mode you pick is a non-default one - thus, you announce it.

Yes I'm just asking to make this rule more "understandable" as there are bots that do not have a "default" mode like CW
Do not lie about modes. If you intend to choose a
non-default mode, announce it in lobby or vote ingame/in the lobby

Isnt it clear that any mode you choose is not the default mode since the bot or map does not set one?

In a way it is, but I don't know if we should overestimate certain player's "intelligence", but this is just a suggestion. If you find it clear for our users then it should be fine

Do not lie about modes. If you intend to choose a non-default mode or if there is no known default mode, announce the mode in lobby or vote ingame/in lobby.

"if there is default mode being set" doesnt make sense since there is no official default mode.

Is it allowed to announce "something funny" ?
