Maps played (almost) by none

Postby nameUsername » Sat Apr 27, 2013 3:30 pm

I have noticed some games are not popular (see the same #numbers all the time). I chcecked something...... on the left you can see a game list 4 days before, on right side you can see current list

underlined maps have the same numbers, so during these 4 days no1 played them. whats the point of hosting these games?

.....so my suggestion is: CONSIDER REMOVING MAPS BELOW (or part of them)

Battle Mages
Battleship Pro 5v5
DotA ar euro
DotA HR 1150+-rd
DotA HR 1150+ apem
DotA rd us/ca
DotA sdem europe
Freeze Tag
Naruto Shippuuden RPG
Naruto SShowdown
Night of the Dead
Pest invasion
Pudge Wars
Tree Tag!
Ultimate Footmen
Undead Assault II
Vampirism Speed

Battleships and tree tag have stats added to them, and tree/freeze tag are the best games. HR games are high-ranked games where you need higher ELO to join.

so..... in that case these maps are useless the most

Vampirism Speed
Pest Invasion
Undead Assault II
Naruto Shippuuden RPG
Battle Mages
Ultimate Footmen

and..
Night of the Dead III
Pudge Wars
Naruto SShowdown

imo they should have been removed. whats your opinion?

I'd say to leave it as it is.
There's a command called !votestart, if the game is not filling so fast then you should use it.

but theres a problem with votestart, cause it requires 8 players!

you cannot use votestart until there are 8 or more players in the game

for ex "pest invasion" need 5 or 6 ppl to start, but 8 to votestart. it isnt normal, you should fix it.

If there are any examples of this, like this specific map, please let us know! I believe !votestart was originally set to 8 for everything and then have been changed through suggestions. So if you find a game like this, feel free to post in Suggestions about the votestart being bad.

For instance, Swat: Aftermath (a custom map I play) used to autostart at 6 and have either no votestart, or 8, I can't remember. But I posted a Suggestion that it be autostart at 4 and votestart at 3 and it works much better now.

Ok, so pest invasion is first to fix. havent checked others yet.

but i think if no1 posted votestart problem to maps in my previous post until now, it means these games are kinda unpopular (0 or 1 game per week) and hosting them makes no sense. but ofc its up to you.

No, you're wrong.
I said to you look for topics related to the !votestart command
It doesn't matter what map you're playing.. Let's say this year the game is LTD, last year it was dota. Nobody can say how many players we need to start an unpopular game, that's why there's a suggestion forum, we can always suggest to the ENT Staff to change the number players to votestart be accept.
I think you are not honest here, why these games bother you so much?

That's the point, ppl still play.
ENT is hosting in 4 realms + ENT Connect + *In some cases garena*, Timezones are different, ppl are different, tastes are different.. You can love Rock and I can love Justin Bieber.. What that's means? Sometimes a specific bot is just be filled cuz some clan just want to play that game.. or maybe because a group of people from different countries, realms.. I don't know why for some incredible coincidence or we can say maybe god wants give them a please to play that desired game and eureka the game is filled..
idk.. It does look like it's going to nowhere. I hope you undestand I'm going to move this thread to archive, if you wanna post something different *because I think you're not being honest here imo*, please send a message to a Red(I'm red too) or Green admin, they can move the thread back.
Thank you for your suggestion.

If the autohost games aren't regularly hosting then there's no reason to take up a slot on gamelist (both Battle.net and ENT) with it. So I'll look at them at some point.
