I would like you guys to set a bottom line on elo.
Because sometimes theres someone with 400-500 elo and it completly ruin the games elo scores.
Ive been playing games that were not worth the 2-3-4-5 elo ive won just because of one player the other team had such a low elo.
Or even when i play with my friends and we all 1300+ and someone join us with a low elo and we got 10-12elo and the other doesnt stand a chance.
I dont think im the only to have realise that and i pretty sure community will agree.
Thanks

Its the same on Lod Dota , there is peoples even with 300 elo which just ruin games , and sometimes i even lose 29 elo for 1 game cause of peoples like that , dont communicate/never accept advices/listen to team , i was suggesting atleast 1100 bot but it got denied. It is really hard to play with peoples like that.

Scaling the impact of an elo differential on elo +/- per game is a more appropriate version of this suggestion.

Scaling the impact would be a good thing for low elo, but for high elo players it would be too easy to get elo.
Also, seeing the big amount beginners would lose there would be alot of dodgers in lobby wich would make the lobby last too long.

I can agree with this but how will the noobs learn if a 1100+ elo doesn't teach?

Its about they never listen / and refusing to get advices so how to teach them ?
Personally i am ~1500 elo player on LOD i got a guys even 900-800 elo who never listen or talk , what about guys with 300-500 elo? i just lost 150 elo last day cause of peoples like that , not possible to play alone.

Same as Lord-Miles, by experience and common sense, those 300--700 are those with the worst attitude.

I really dont think this should be implemented. We ban game ruiners that truly ruin for a reason. If they are 700 elo and play properly, there is no reason to have a bottom line. However if they throw, and you dont report, then you arent doing yourself or that player any favors. ENT is a newbie friendly bot. There is no reason to implement this suggestion.

then stack with higher elo like you always do. I don't see how a high elo can still be called a noob (unless he throws)

Stacking / Playing with friends are two different things. That's not even a part of this conversation. lol

Well now when ENT chose to use the elo system they have for most of the maps where it works (maps with 2 teams mostly).
It would be kinda bad to set limits with in that system cuz if you set a bottom elo and then "block it from going lower" either but elo setnings or baning that acc. you'd need to do the same for a top block aswell.
and most like the elo system it gives a somewhat clear skill-rateing thats easy to fake and boost (for ex haveing people whos main acc is 2k makeing fake accounts and loseing some so they have around 900 so they can by just beeing in the same team boost 1 of thier friends accs above 2k just cuz he "carried" the team with tho he/she did not really do that to begin with. then we have the lazy people that get around 1100-1200 that only gained it by playing it safe thier skill can be lower then a dude that plays for real that ended up unlucky and got 800-900 elo.
but ye the elo itself makes more problem with the elo hunt and fake accs and "teamers" for ex with all 1250+ on one team and the 1k new players and 900 players on the other there is mostly no way they would be able to win.
So IMO just keep it as it is. and keep makeing elo based bot with -1k and +1250 and +1500 so that the "skill" can be more or less balanced for the players.
OR remove the elo and just keep the ratio that mostly explains more about thier skill then elo. since Ive seen people with for ex: 50/350 in ratio and 1400 elo, and people with 150-50 950-1050. so it kinda sends dubble messages about if this player is good or bad. since you can suck big time and be lucky to win vs some high elo player and gain way more then you lose and the other way around.

This is why i suggested that you cant view Stats in game lobby, more so for pub games. Eliminates stacking. And like you said, real game ruiners get banned. those with low elo that genuinley play are ok. theyre learning
