Remove !scores ability for mods

@uakf.b made a good point in the thread about giving everyone the ability to do this. Stats show when you enter the lobby and you can always !sd people individually. There is no reason to sd everyone- just play the game.

However, mods can !sd everyone and see average Elo all with one command, giving them the unfair ability to be on or avoid playing against a stacked team. In the interest of fairness, if you are not going to extend this ability to everyone, we should disable this command for anyone--namely, us mods.

The !scores command is there to help mods balance the game when this is applicable. It's also used as the message displayed after slots are balanced in autobalanced games.

again imho, !stats/!scores should be avaliable in game, not in lobby.

If ppl are looking for balance, they should play a -bal game.

@Cyberpunk is exactly right, @uakf.b. Mods aren't supposed to help balance non A-bal games. Using the !swap command in a normal pub game is tantamount to abuse unless all players consent to it. Thus, knowing the Elo of everyone in the game, along with the average Elo of each team, all by typing one command gives the mods an unfair advantage over other players. It is not abuse to leave a lobby when you think the game is stacked, and this enables mods to be more selective than the rest of the community.

I say this should be one of those all or nothing commands-- either enable it for everyone or, preferably, disable it for everyone.

Are Mods abusing this? That's a real shame and they should be talked to imo.. :(

As far as I know they aren't.
It's wrong to swap someone playing in an autohost bot because players can be playing together. Let's say you and your brother are waiting for a game for a long time, then an admin join and just !swap one of them.. that's unfair and should not happen.

i dont think you can "abuse" the !scores command. it doesnt have any real benefit to gain, its just information. i dont know why this is a problem for anyone to have. i personally am a fan of the !scores command. i usually post it at the start of games (i dont do it in lobby anymore it causes too many people to either leave or wait till countdown to leave, for various reasons). and its nice to see it laid out infront of everyone clearly. although you can always just use the website. but i see no reason to get rid of it.
@palsgraf its not unfair to them at all. they have the website which gives you the same information. thats like saying we should give everyone the !ban or !kick command just because we have it... no.
if people are using the swap command before games then there is a problem that should be addressed. believe me i have been asked to swap people 1000000x of times and i refuse every time. the most i will do is ask the lobby if i can swap but i generally dont get answers so it never happens.
but like i said, the information gained from typing !scores is exactly the same as using the website games section. so they have all the same information anyways.

@virushunter How on earth are those two things analogous? One is directly related to our moderating responsibilities--policing the community to ensure a fair and fun game for everyone--and the other just provides us information in a more easily accessible way than is available to any other player. It's not fair because you CAN use it in lobby to see if a game is stacked, and then you CAN leave and wait for another game, and none of that shows up in the admin log because it's not abuse.

!scores gives us an information advantage over other users that is not germane to our moderating responsibilities. Thus, it should either be available to every player, or it should be disabled and us mods should have to go to the website like everyone else.

I don't believe people are used to check the game page like they do with !lms/!sd/!cfs/!cws/etc..
Also, you can be sure, meanwhile they are checking the website, the game will start, they will not able to leave at the countdown.

even if you believe they do or dont. its really pointless to take it away. because if someone really cared about the scores enought to care if its stacked or not they will either just sd everyone like u see all the time or use the website. i use all 3 lol.

Pointless is waste your time awaiting for a game which never stats because ppl keep joining the game, typing !lms red, !lms blue, !lms etc.. and leaves...

If someone wants to look at the scores then they can just look at the website, there's hardly any difference and there's no reason to change how it is currently, whether that means making the command public or removing it. Anyway it helps with making sure the bot is autobalancing correctly in certain situations.
