Horde vs Alliance is a very popular game, that is currently hosted on 3 main bots.
(BK, UCW and EFB-starbot1)

I was thinking, this very popular game would go good with this very popular bot.

It's similar to Dota, in the way that there's creeps, three lanes, and (almost) completely hero based.

You buy items, and use your spells and attack damage to kill other hero's.

Why the map should be autohosted: Horde vs Alliance is a hero based, 5v5 game, that is very fun, very interactive and very clean. It would greatly improve the activity of ENT hosting, because its such a popular map.

I have questions about these three rules:

YOU CANNOT PULL CREEPS SUCH AS OGRS, VENGANCE OR TUSKAR TO DESTROY EXP OF YOUR ENEMY.

-> Why shouldnt it be allowed to share items and pull the creeps? Especially the one with the creeps can be considered a tactic to make it harder for your enemys
-> If you kill your own unit your enemy hero cant lasthit the creep and dont get the bounty of it. Should be allowed. (if done to gameruin its banable of course, but thats a decision made for each situation by a moderator then)

In horde vs alliance, there is no !ff thing implicated. Would be nice though.

I don't play dota, but I can tell you a lane is a very important thing, and if someone claims it and you go in it anyways, its the fastest way to make someone get pissed off, because to them thats their lane. Sometimes people will be the bigger man and lose exp and gold by going to the middle, but most of the times it ends with 2 people refusing to leave lane. And this is even when there's a rule, and possible ban. So imagine the results without this rule? Complete choas.

Sharing items, (like buying items) was removed a while back, because people thought it was unfair and extremely dumb, because you could give all your items to an ally, then leave the game, (through pulling plug or just flat out leaving) and then have a player x2 as strong as before.
This is now allowed currently with unique's because it creates a temporary unfair advantage, that's just frowned upon. The rules are set to make the least amount of problems in each game.

It's unfair to call creeps like Magnator, because he can destroy every wave of creeps until you're around level 40. Think about that, a 40 level difference.
The same thing applies with other creeps like Ogr, Dragon, Tuskarr, and Vengeance. Some are easier to pull and trap so that they destroy the other teams EXP. It's not allowed because its just a BS thing to do. It ruins the fun of the game, and if you want an EXP advantage, get good at playing and then you can see how much of advantage you can get.

What you can't attack is your own units (the ones that are sent in waves to fight the other teams waves) because early game, with a certain item, you can destroy the EXP and the fun of the game.

I used to last hit 1 unit every game so Alliance didn't get slight EXP advantage every game, for the first duel. I don't really understand why its a rule, except it can cause problems with raging, insulting, and game ruining.

The rules were set to keep the game in a fun, and active atmosphere. You can pull any Mags after level 40 because your level 40 creeps can take them on without too many deaths. After level 15, you can just kill the Tuskarrs yourself, without help of your creeps because they're actually pretty weak. Same with Vengances and Ogrs.

If you've ever played HVSA you'd understand how good these rules are for the game.

Also, expect (if it gets popular on ent) many ex BK players banned for MH, or other things to come here. Also people banned for VPN, (virtual proxy server). We havent let in any MH players play again on BK, unless they could say the only tried it once, they regret it and served over a year of ban without dodge or problems.

Hopefully, you'll just go with the flow of what has already been set by BK (all three bots that host HVSA have about the same rules).

They really do work, and I'd appreciate you sticking to them. I can ask a couple Roots, and long time players for more confirmation why these rules are these rules and why they work so well.

I'm neither an admin, or a root, but I am a long time player. (I never learnt the rules up until last Summer when I joined the BK community though).

Anyways, once again, hope you'll accept the offer of adding it to ENT.
Also, I'm not sure, but I think you have to ask gameowner (Trigman) and BK bot owner (Playman) to be able to host in on ENT.

-> Thanks for clarification. In dota the lines a payer goes is very important too, i would say even a little more important. It barely leads to problems here and if a fight between two players lead to one ruining the game he can get punished for it. In the end im pretty sure such calls can of course have a positive effect but if a bad player calls an important line or one that is harder to play it might get your team in trouble. Still dont like this rule tbh ^^


The 1ff command is a command by the bots so no problem in adding this.


In case people share items and then leave to push a certain player and rush to end the game then, they can get punished
1. by the autoban system
2. In case we add a rule for this, via the banrequest

Thats a better way to handle it imo.


And the creeppulling stuff makees sense, its been a while i played HvsA and now as you told me about it i remembered it ^^

At the moment, it looks like private hosting (for ENT) is fine for this map. If it happens in the future that there is more popularity towards this map from the ENT community, we will reconsider this suggestion.
