this is a clan, we should be playing more custom games, otherwise we are just a glorified 1200+ clan... which is kinda lame

Only thing I don't agree with is him reporting DC pens for games that barely even started. Maybe rules should be modified to not allow this?

This will cause people to PP due to bad rolls or dislike of teammates....

i get your point, but what bourne is referring to, is when someone for some reason, DC while loading the game/during load screen :)

Until yesterday I never had the pleasure to meet this character. I had problems with my computer and disconnected 2x within a few minutes of the game. The other players in the game (occupy and rolders) said 'too bad Mick we hope you will fix your pc', but this guy completely raged. He blackmailed occupy saying he will take 40 Elo from me if occupy does not draw. I think this shows the totally unfit character this guy has for a 'mannered, friendly league'.

The reason I went into this league was for manner, to have some games with mature people who do not flame for everything and show some understanding and sportsmanship for the others. Nowadays, if you have a problem with your computer and you dc within a few minutes in 1200+ the game will be drawn and people move on. Now in this league this happened: dweiler, 928.4 elo, 1/3. And it's not even the Elo that bothers me, that I have a record of losing more than 35 Elo per loss, but the childishness, the fact that he reported my dc's as a revenge on occupy because occupy did not partake in his bribery and the fact that this league does not feel like the fun place it used to be anymore because no mistakes or things that are not 100% perfect are tolerated anymore. This league is FAR worse in flaming, poor sportsmanship and childishness than 1200+ and it's because of people like Shrimp.

I hope moderators will fix this and get rid of kids like this character, so people can enjoy a mannered league again, and until then I will stick with the mannered 1200+.

If you can't handle the heat then stay out of the kitchen

also all the rage at dc penalties is a bit childish

It's not his fault that you have computer problems and if you have a computer problem maybe you shouldn't be playing until you fix it?

Instead of worrying about what he did to you why don't you accept that you wasted people's time by dcing?

Well I did not know I had problems, and in channel I apologized for wasting their time and that I would not play LIHL until I fixed it. The two of them said it was no problem and they hoped I could fix it, and this guy said nothing and went on to report after trying to bribe Occupy in the game (you can check it out if you want to). So it's not the dc-penalty, but the lack of consideration, sportsmanship and trying to bribe other players that make me feel like this league is not at all what it used to be. And I don't mind, if this is the way the league is nowadays I will just avoid it, I'm just stating my opinion here. I know there's a rule for dc-penalties, but as I said, nowadays 1200+ is far more mannered than LIHL and this became painfully clear yesterday.

Edit: just as an example, I am playing here since season 1 and I have never reported a dc or any other violation. I think there is a big group in this league who is like this, just guys like shrimo who makes this league lose the qualities of sportsmanship, friendliness and consideration. The dc-penalty on itself does not matter, but the way it came about and the general 'mindset' this guy has which I hope we do not follow in the league.

I haven't reported anyone for DC either even if they report me nor do I build delays or any of the other garbage. However you can't really get mad and sulky just because other players do it. It is their choice after all and if it's within the rules then there shouldn't be any problems.

Agree with this 100%, you can't get mad for people doing things that are within the rules, even if they do take it to extremes. However, I think Mick's point was not about him reporting the DCs per-say, but moreso to do with shrimp's generally toxic attitude.

I admit I joke around a lot and have also flamed and been unmannered on some occasions. Mick, on the other hand, has never once flamed or complained in all the time I've known him. Probably the most mannered and pleasant player to play with along with tariq.td. It's really low for shrimp to report Mick twice for clearly unintentional DC's and threaten his friends to try to coerce them into doing what he wants. Just because he's not blatantly breaking any rules doesn't mean that Shrimp is in the right here.

Yes I didn't write this to appeal my dc-penalty, but to show how he behaves in the league, and that with players like this, this league is less mannered and friendly than 1200+.

I generally have no problem with shrimp, but I agree that his mindset doesn't really fit to LIHL. Reporting people disconnecting before the mode was picked or within the first minutes does nothing but create a bad atmosphere, especially if it's about people like mick and pew who are always fair and friendly and would never disconnect on purpose. It's fairly obvious that shrimp doesn't do it to prevent pping or anything of this sort, he just wants to get as much "free" Elo as possible.

And seeing he is the only one acting like that plus his disputes with many players (and annoyance for many others) and his too big ego for what he has to offer it might be time to think about what is best for LIHL.

@diablo_
in 10000000% honesty i didnt even know you can dc pen someone before level 1 until i seen guennter(a mod) do it here.

https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=215&t=70890

yet nobody rage about guennters behavior and i learned it from him, and hes a mod, arent they suppose to lead by example. im just following =)

also as you can see here in this replay:

https://entgaming.net/customstats/lihl/game/6528528/

donki reports adi for dc LVL 1 accusing him of pp

(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: adi pp
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: fuck u
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: really
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: i will report him
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: just so he can't pp anymore
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: i never report
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: but not first time he dc lvl 1
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: i will report his ass
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: he always obs
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: never dc
(01:15 / All) DON_KILLUMINATI: ftg
(01:15 / All) Wolke: that´s true
(01:15 / Allied) DON_KILLUMINATI: it's pp man
(01:15 / Allied) DON_KILLUMINATI: i know adi

if this is true and adi did pp, its people like him why the rule was set in the first place... which is 435346 times more toxic for this league than anything i can possibly do. i understand some people are mad that i dc pen so much, but as a few of you said. its within my right just as its in your right to sit here and create unnecessary drama post about my behavior.

The reason for this thread is not only whether you are behaving 'within your right'. It's also about whether your behaviour is acceptable in an in-house league, and in your case it has less to do with the rules than with your attitude and manners. And it is perfectly possible to act within the rules and still be unmannered and childish. This would not be a problem if you played pub, but an in-house league is created exactly for the reason that you do not have 'publike' behaviour in your games. To be honest, I don't even know why you are in this league if you have no notion at all of this. Are you really only here for the Elo?

The fact you come here to say you are 'within your right' and once again show no sign of even slightly realizing your behaviour is very unsporting speaks volumes.

I like this statement, but it is not only limited to just shrimp. It can be pointed out that there are others within this category. However, since shrimp is one of the most active on the forum he is the main target. Everyone who defends themselves believe that they are doing the right thing. Which is fine, until a post like this, where a bunch of people feel the same way about his actions and manners.

With this said, lets just hope the the lihl staff will finally lock and come to a decision

Really you're going to attack Mick? He's been in LIHL way longer than you, never flames, and always creates fun and mannered atmosphere. He had a net issue one time and the other time he prioritized his girlfriend over a 10-year old video game; that's hardly something you can fault somebody for. If Mick is signed for a game I'll gladly sign knowing that regardless of which team he's on there'll be no flame from him and we can have a fun mannered game with some banter. If you're signed I'm worried about being reported and flamed and having to argue with some guy making dumb calls and crying TK when people don't listen. Unfortunately, since you're much more active than Mick I'm inclined to stay away from LIHL until this gets resolved.

Oh, and proclaiming yourself as highly skilled" is absolutely hilarious. I'd urge you to find 5 other LIHL players who share that opinion about you. Beep is highly skilled. 1007 is highly skilled. Don has learned a lot and is very skilled now. Putting your name into the group of highly skilled players is laughable and an insult to people that actually are good at this game.

We do play a lot of custom games, mainly using the host bot hele provides. Trying to swindle ELO by doing dumb game modes like hybrid or sd because you know you aren't strong at the standard prophet game isn't fun. You want to play customs? Play with us on helebot where ELO isn't involved. Oh wait, you're never invited because nobody likes you.

alright well I kind of take back what I said about Shrimp being nice and friendly. Just played a game where he was our holder and built dragon hawk instead of 3rd tree of knowledge for 14. he leaked with 3kish value and we actually died with 4 heals. It was a weird decision by him but everyone makes mistakes and has bad games so no big deal. Main thing was his attitude after the loss where he tried to take away all responsibility from himself and blamed teammates. Links:

Was just one game and he was on a losing streak so not holding this against him or anything but want to take back where I defeneded him because I can understand now why some ppl have a problem with the attitude he shows.
