Recording stats
In games, once someone leaves their stats shouldn't record. Other users like to use the leaver and purposely ruin their stats or tend to stay at the fountain if a whole team has left and just fountain farm. That way, the team that is still there wouldn't have a choice but to finish the game instead of trying to build up their stats.

Re: Recording stats
Sorry I disagree 100%. :3
First off, noobs are able to play, if you have a noob in your team, patience and try to teach him. If he is ruinning your game, so you should start the vk.
ps. ofc , i'm being sarcastic.

Sure, let's turn off the autoban and support the leavers.WTphoo wrote:In games, once someone leaves their stats shouldn't record.

Re: Recording stats
I wouldn't say leave, basically dropped, d/c , lagged out. As for those, stats shouldn't be record after that has happened and only before.

Re: Recording stats
Still, if someone were to drop during the game, and it's 4v5. Teammates can purposely use you and ruin your stats. Like one of my games yesterday, I was 0-0 then got dropped. All of a sudden I'm 1-4. It isn't right to ruin others stats.

Re: Recording stats
I always assumed that stats record at the time of leaving. So if I left with KDA 0-5-2, that's what would record regardless of what happens after I leave.
If this is not the case, I agree with OP that it should be. Autoban and Autobanex are great deterrents in preventing leavers and plug-pullers. I do not think it is necessary or an accurate reflection of a player's stats to record deaths after the person already left. Kills for the opposing team are a different story.
Furthermore, I recently learned that in the minute or so after an opposing team !ff you can continue to kill them and have it count on your stats even after the whole team is kicked by the bot. Does this not defeat the purpose of !ff? Stats should be recorded at the time of the !ff.

Re: Recording stats
Basically what I'm implying here is that once someone drops, leave, gets d/c, or vote kicked off, their stats shouldn't be recorded after that. Say I'm 0-5-0 in a game, and I decide to leave. Once I leave my stats after that shouldn't be recorded and only before that time. I believe this would help ENT in a better way. Sometimes people do just use a leaver hero and just send them out to die, yet it ruins their stats even though they're not playing or in the game. I understand if you're using the hero to help. Although LITERALLY there are games when a whole team could leave and wouldn't !FF. That gives the advantage of the opposing team to fountain farm and not end the game. There are a lot of games like these and are taken advantage of.

Re: Recording stats
So, if I'm losing a game I can leave/drop to save my stats... If I'm losing, I can try to ruin the game to others vk me to save my stats?WTphoo wrote:Basically what I'm implying here is that once someone drops, leave, gets d/c, or vote kicked off, their stats shouldn't be recorded after that.

Re: Recording stats
You guys still have a penalty for leaving/dropping though. Which would be an autoban. I guess you can say some would leave to stop ruining their stats, but others will just stay in base and give up. I have games where I get d/c or dropped and I end up having...let's say I'm 5-2-3 and my team is winning the game. Now for winning the game, I wouldn't purposely drop or d/c if I'm winning. Then you end up checking the game stats to see who wins. Somehow I become 5-10-6? Yeah it's ruining the game for others, I understand that, but it's fair for them to ruin other people's stats?

Re: Recording stats
I'm not a rich guy and I'm living in brazil. My internet connection isn't great, sorry I can't understand how you can have many desyncs playing a game from 2002. :3
Edit: My point is, even being brazilian I don't have desync like you =\

Re: Recording stats
I agree with this, I just don't see a good way to implement it because finalized stats in DotA maps are only sent at the end of the game.

Re: Recording stats
My saying is, I don't care if I'm 0-10-5 in game, then I drop. Cause that would be my fault. At least that I'm actually playing to acquire that record. Yes I'm ruining the game by dropping, and that wouldn't be fair to others; but is it fair to me that by the end of the game. I'm 0-25-12? More deaths are recording even though I'm not playing?
