question about spoofname and such

Postby sblikeme » Fri Nov 09, 2012 9:20 am

i played a game of dota against a team.
they are a team that play together only.
how is it that i can't pm, do whois on any of them ? i get a message of "that user is not logged in".
and this is too all members of that team.
during game, and while they are playing games (i know this through the ent games list).

+1 to AC, you can't communicate to or /whois players on other realms. ENT Bots bridge between all 4 realms, thus you might be on useast.battle.net and be playing with people from asia.battle.net in the same game.

A way to get around that: Go to Chat (F12) and then click "Send to Player: " and choose the person you want to talk to.

And it doesn't matter if the other person is on Gproxy, you can still whisper them and /whois them. If you are using Gproxy yourself, you can't issue the /whois command while in WC3, but you can issue the command directly into Gproxy window.
