Hey,

there is finally a new Legion TD Version out.

But...it looks so stupid. I think we should try it first before we replace the current one? You can't mass level 10.

There is no save....
NS limits adjusted. The new limits are as follows:
-- level 0-8 = lumber 80
-- level 8-20 = lumber 10 x level
-- level 20+ = lumber 200

can only hold 80 wood between 0-8
after 8 its 90, 100, 110, etc...
lvl 20 only 200 wood?

Wood auto sends if you have more than that.

Ancient Tree of Destruction buffed and lumber cost reduced to 2000.??? What is this?

Also, i would prolly stop playing legion if this map is put in....

Sounds like horrible changes and I doubt that many players would prefer this version.

Edit: I think I missunderstood something, it is still possible to play without -ns right? If yes, the changes are quite good, except of the no mass lvl 10.

I played single player. -hpgmcb and -ap

Edit: -hpgmcb has no -ns

-ap does

But yeah, you'd probably want to stick to the older versions.

Relevant part about -ns:
For what it's worth, the -ns mode is optional (but the massing prevention is not). So to clarify, -ns is default, which also includes all the mode shortcuts such as -ap, but you can always specify an exact mode to get what you want without -ns (example: -apgmcb).

Those who play on the ent bots aren't really interested in this version for the most part. This version is geared towards very long games in which winning isn't the main goal - its more for 'relaxed' feel good players.

What about updating one bot just to try it out? I play very much on the ENT bots and i think the fixed prophet in combination with the balance changes and so on would be a nice try.

Sorry but you are correct, we are a very tough crowd. I feel that ENT's community would not be interested in playing this new map. The NS feature is better suited for UCBot, as ENT players enjoy the save feature and have evolved the game play where saving and sending strategies are arguably the most important factor in the game. ENT players also almost always mass on lvl 10 and 20. This is a big feature in the game IMO and people have adapted that they can hold a massive send with the right towers or the right team play. It is a fun part of the game, holding lvl 10 and 20, and adds a unique dynamic to game play.

Two more things:

1. I feel that the skilled players in the community would agree that 3.41 is the best version of the map and would only require a few changes. One would be to remove the mercenary race and two would be to have a slight balance change to the towers. I.e. buff some towers like gateguard, raider, dark priest, disciple, servant, sky dragon, mercurial, adept, cyborg, golem just to name a few. And to make them compete with towers like archers, aqua, turrets, engineers, goliath, greymane, druid, blasters, etc. The worst feeling in LTD 3.41 is getting a "crappy roll" where none of your towers have any value to hold the harder levels or be of any use late in the game.

2. I would encourage you to maybe look at some replays of the LIHL games on ENT. This is a bot that we have created where mercenary builder cannot be picked and players are required to stay in their own lane (it is not permissible to build on your partner's lane). This might give you a feel for how we have evolved the game as a community and how the majority of build strategies only use about 30% of the available towers.

Edit: If you ask me, I am a 3.41-for-lifer. So I may be a bit bias ;) But I do believe this is a very polished and almost perfect version of the LTD map

3.41 is indeed a great map. I personally really enjoyed the two builder version of the map that was released recently, and I feel like it would be a cool mode to enable in other maps. Just nerfing archers/aquas on certain challenges is probably more effective then buffing everything for leveling out the strengths.

Even just adding a mode to disable mercenary without limiting income (li) would be much appreciated. I do enjoy 3.5 a lot, and always like playing maps with new features, it just seems like the no save is going to weaken the challenge.

No save is optional, as mentioned on first page. Only bad change imo is the no mass on lvl 10/20, tho I could live with it.

Especially the anti stuck feature would be awesome for us ^^
