Re: Dota v6.80b
I think the problem with people who complains about experience are those who don't know how to play dota besides from afk farming style. by learning how certain hero works and learn how to fight from lvl 1 would greatly benefit their dota skill. cuz really, leveling slower or faster, doesn't really have any indication of how long the games take.

maybe it shouldn't, but it does. Even in a 4 vs 5, where the 5 are better.. it takes a good 45 min lately. You just cannot take towers that fast if you are low levels. Plus, in the 20th min your team manages to kill the opponets' entire team..but you cannot even try to rax because when you reach the towers they're all respawnd.
Overall the changes aren't bad, on the contrary .. (e.g. when you deny your enemy creeps it actually does make a difference etc )..but soon I will not have that much free time..and I feel like a game lasts forever
but i agree with you. those who are against the new map should tell their reasons ..maybe the ent stuff learns about problems that were not considered.

Re: Dota v6.80b
If u want to just play the game to win quick? u can pick enigma, lesh, pugna, veno, jug, furion, chen, enchantress, dazzle, sylla, rex, lycan ect.. but again problem here is that people only wanna play flashy hero with alot of kill potential! so they can be that guy who think getting high amount of kills in low skilled game defines their skill. So, basically what im saying is that, problem is within the player it self! not the game. rather than adapting and learn different aspect of the game? people rather play the only way they know how cuz they're scared to fail by learning other things and never improve their game while they are stuck at thier low skill game sense forever.

Prof. Blackspade has commented, so listen to him students! Learning is a valuable experience!
Re: Dota v6.80b
I (usually) do not want a game to end fast. But if you are short on time you can hope for it, right? Now you kind of .. can’t. Personally, I like the changes very much.. and the fact that we are forced to adapt to the changes and make new strategies is also a big plus.
It’s just that the annoying part takes longer now. I know, we can’t have both.. can we..? (hmh I’ll contact ice frog ^^ u can thank me later. )

Re: Dota v6.80b
Suggesting to make all the bots host 6.80b. At the end of the day, DotA fans will still play no matter what changes it brings and what new things this map holds; people will get used to it.
Re: Dota v6.80b
Not about getting used to anything. as i said before i have no problem with the map. But on em it is way to unbalanced. The gold is too much and it doesn't make sense to have that much when you are such a low lvl because exp is harder to gain. The new version is clearly made for non em modes seeing how it doesn't work out well in em and majority of ppl are saying to bring back 6.78 so why not bring it back if thats what the ppl want?

Too much gold and non-em modes don't go hand in hand?
On the other note these are the poll results.. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24340
Honestly, Icefrog is trying to go parallel with DotA2; trying to give the DotA1 community the same experience that one can get by playing this fancy version of DotA1, which is DotA2. Ent community was nice enough to keep the bots to .78 for a while and so if they want to change it to .80b they are definitely entitled too as per the poll results.
As far as I'm concerned about the new map, it is free off glitches that were in .79 and it seems more stable. You should give it a try yourself if you haven't.
Re: Dota v6.80b
I don't see what the problem is of having 6.78 on em modes seeing how 6.80 is already going to remain hosted on non-em modes? Some ppl want v6.78 back and some ppl don't so hosting both wouldn't cause an issues why would anyone complain
but removing a version that some ppl find better can be an issue. And there is no reason for giving dota 1 players the feeling of dota 2. If we wanted that we would just play dota 2. I still play dota 1 and im probably not going to switch. Anyways no serious complaints by me if keeping 6.80 is what you guys want to do that is fine. Just giving my opinion :p
