Hey

Postby Lisk » Mon Feb 24, 2014 8:01 pm

Hi everyone!

I was playing some Legion TD games for old times' sake, and noticed a bunch were hosted by ENT gaming. A quick Google search, and I discovered this community.

My username is Lisk, but it was taken on the forum, so I've settled on Lisk2.

I created the original Legion TD, and I'm really humbled by how much hard work other people have put in to improving the game from where I left it years ago. Hats off to anyone who has contributed to Legion TD Mega/other variants, as well as the people who organize high-skill matches.

Is there an in-game chat channel that people hang out in? I'd be down to play some games tonight after work. I'm currently idling in the web chat.

Cheers,

Lisk

Hello Lisk (real one or fake .. :p ).
You can either join the general ENT channel (not sure of the name, I just tried "Clan ENT" but it didn't let me in) or the Legion Inhouse League Channel: Clan LIHL
GJ making the map (tho I don't know how much changed after your departure, cause I have only played the 3.41 Mega version so far).

Have fun and feel free to apply for LIHL if/when you think you are fit for it!

Sounds good, I'll check out the channel later.

I'm sure I'm too out of practice to play in LIHL, especially since I've only played Mega once or twice. But it'd be fun to spectate if that's available.

And haha, if anyone needed proof, here you go (http://www.legiontd.com/ent.txt)

Fun fact, I attached a picture of the very first Legion TD layout. This layout was never used, since shortly after making/playing the first few waves, we decided we wanted to make it PvP rather than co-op. And shortly after, workers/income was put in, and the rest is history.

Hey Lisk, nice to finally see one of the co-founders/creators of LTD to get back to the game. Also nice to speak with ya on ENT chat.

About the new map your working on, I think it's important to keep up the thing where two teams battle, because if you make a map like the one above, you'd make some spots more favorable than others, less competition, no possibility of ELO and practially just a new version of the old mauls or W/E they were named.

Hope you join LIHL and meet some of the people whom I'm sure have LOTS of ideas about how to improve LTD and maybe even give a hand making it.

Imagine a game, like League of Legends or DOTA2, that was made from the idea of DOTA. The same thing could theoretically happen to Legion TD, if a real game was made. The ones who got the balls to make it, could become quite rich on it, I'm sure of. So, there should be more than "just a hobby" of interest to be part of making this game.

Hi Drahque,

I think you might have misread the screenshot... that's just a screenshot from some 5-6 years ago when Legion TD was in its first couple weeks of development. I posted it for nostalgia. :)

Again, it was nice talking with you!

Having an unstable internet connection or a high risk of lagging out? Are you tired of losing a won game because you disconnected?
Do not worry, there are solutions to solve your problem!
    • ENT Connect is a on LAN connection based reconnection tool (no cd-keys needed).
    • GProxy++(Varlock) is a reconnection tool for the battle.net with an external prompt.

    @lisk2

    1. Welcome to ENT! We are proud to offer the best variety and competition of LTD games in the world! :)

    2. You can surely observe some high skilled LTD matches. I see you have found the LIHL forums already. Come on to battle.net on useast and go to channel "Clan LIHL". When a game is hosted you can join and take an observer spot

Good to meet you and welcome again!

Thanks! I've been observing matches every now and then, and it's fun. I've also been trying to get some games in on the ENT bot. It's good to be back into Legion again.
