Posted in fana's thread about cyto. since he was brought up as an example of an "MHer" playing. I believe he is open to playing in LIHL without maphack, and we unvouched him last time because he couldn't figure out how to SS during my test. If he's willing to learn, as I stated when I unvouched him, there should be no reason to not give him a spot based off of his ability. Using MH on many bots isn't a terrible offense, and he is far from the only one in LIHL who has used MH in different scenarios. Where everyone accepts it as viable, it is not a mark against someone's character - obviously.

As far as building to counter MH - I know I do it.

The LIHL is a 'vouch' based league and noone is willing to vouch for him due to past circumstances.
Furthermore many members cannot vouch for this player either so it doesn't make much sense for him to be accepted.

Not accepting anyone who is new to people in here will hurt the league's development. We have expanded into a larger entity then just including player's we are close to, and giving cyto. a chance is in no way exceptional. He's proven to be a legit player in ways not involving MH already, and no one is disputing his skill. If moderators are willing to work with him and help him, it seems unreasonable to deny him.

I don't care what "light" I am shown in, as I don't try to lie to get into a certain light. I tell how it is, and people can view that how they wish.

In many bots you are considered an idiot if you don't use MH. Obviously these aren't (for the most part) highly active bots, but the point remains that in cases I have heard of player's being rejected for not using MH. If a league requires you to use MH, it would be a character mark against you to not MH and pretend you are because you are too lazy to download etc.

This is a great point. In Ctyo.'s application we had 5 pages of comments, concerns and drama. This is just a preview of what we can expect and this is why we have applications open to public opinion. 2. This league is "vouch based" which means that every new candidate needs to get some support from active members of the league in order to be considered for vouching. You do not seem to have any supporters at the present time.

This is not true. The league was started when the HR bot was active and everyone in the HR community vouched for each other. (although it wasn't posted in the vouch requests because the format was new) Initially, uakf.b created this league with supersexyy, myself, beepboopbeep, murkemhanks, ig0d, braveheart_wins (and many other, if I remember correctly). Anyway, I digress. But the point I am making is that from day 1 it was a "vouch based" league and this is not going to change.[/spoiler]

I agree 100%. That's why I am a big advocate of having LIHL players go play pubs when no LIHL games are active. We need to seek and meet new players if we want this league to thrive. (we also have vouched "new" players into the league. They just post replays and get people to play with them in pubs and get a vouch that way. It does happen)

There is pretty hard evidence that Cyto. is also maphacking on Ent servers, not only on other bots. Probably not good enough to get him banned on whole ENT, but for sure enough to not let him join a vouch based league. If he would be honest and said that he is using maphack but he would stop when entering LIHL I might be willing to give him a chance, but no, he is lying as much as possible, playing the unjust handled angel who has never done anything wrong.
