hpgmcb can also be any of the races (except merc) and not neccesarily prophet
hp simply means "host picks" but with that being said I completely agree that if host by any chance is afk it should automatically be -hpgmcb prophet instead of ap which without a seconds doubt in my mind will end with someone picking a race and therefor breaking the rules
and yes I do realise they should be reading the rules or w/e but I honestly think this would solve a LOT of problems for players and admins - just a thought

EDIT: "Default mode must be set as -hpgmcb with builder prophet (Unless 100% of players agree to an alternate game mode before the game starts)"

This I the rule we refer to which is gonna be broken if host fails to type mode and it will end up with -ap making people get the chance of picking lets say paladin

Yeah I was hesitant to put the default mode as one of the rules. I can't even remember at what point we decided to do in this or original drafting stage. IMO - if there is no merc and no crossing then it shouldn't really matter what race or mode someone chooses.

Should we remove this rule?

Imo keep things simple as it's a pub bot. Remove default mode.

Furthermore in order to make this new bot work everyone needs to really push this people onto this bot and spread the word in the first 2 weeks. If regular games aren't an occurrence in the first 2 weeks then it is likely to become dormant.

Default mode should be hpgmcb, as proven by the game we are playing now. Red picked hpgmcb and used element, and then proceeded to troll.

Unless the mode is agreed on, there should be a default.

I like the idea of ELO requirement but the problem is that the bot will go from "hard to fill" to "not a single game hosted"
also a friend of mine (a pub player with the view of a pub player) told me he didn't play the bot because of the seperate ELO - he didn't like to start all over
Maybe a poll should be tried again to see if this is really wanted? I know most LIHL and active forum guys prefer a new seperate ELO rank but is that really what the public wants ?

If you want to play in house then just play in house.... Complaining about skill level in a pub bot is kinda pointless

HR bot was only active before LIHL was created afaik
Regarding 4s you haven't seen the full picture - people were complaining for SO long about lvl 17 until people found out how to counter it - same goes for lvl 7
If all team stay 4/0 or less I guarantee you that you wont kingleak much but when your team decides to make 2 people holding, 1 guy yolo incoming and 1 guy semi incoming or even worse (3 yolo 1 holder) ish - it is bound to fail
Now I think you share your vision alone and this wont happen in the near future - you have LIHL and now you have no cross bot - seems like it should be sufficient enough

Yea, if you want to play with only skilled players, play LIHL.
There's no need to create a LIHL 0.5 bot.

If my time wasn't as limited as it currently is, I would play more no-cross games to help getting the bot started, but currently I really don't want to waste my gaming time in the lobby (thus also less LIHL games)

Something has to be done ? it has potential to be the greatest bot out there yet people don't know it excists and when they play on it they don't know the rules - I don't need no LIHL info or some stupid tournament ongoing when I go join normal bot - I need THIS bot to be announced and the rules of it - can't believe you choose to use a bot for this bot wont fully commit to it

We have announcements promoting this bot. They only run on the other LTD bots but I've seen them working just fine.

Any other ideas of how we can promote this bot? I'm down to try whatever is worth trying. Maybe announcements can be prioritized i dunno.. i have to ask the red admins.

I still think solo stats is a thing most pubs despice but when you make it by vote it's only people on forum that can answer and most wants new stats because they are above average
But I still think the announcements just blend in with rules or w/e chat is going on - how about changing the announcement colours so people will see em?
I don't think there is being done enough to make pubs realise there is a bot
