Postby Danicon » Fri Apr 18, 2014 10:03 pm

Warcraft III username: Denrare
Realm: europe.battle.net
Situation: im banned :x
Why you should be unbanned: According to the ban reason it says maphack, but I dunno where this comes from at all. So I guess I should be unbanned.

This is the screenshot of where you shouldn't have vision of the object that you fogclicked on.

What does this say? You're using a maphack.

Also, around the 9:50 mark, you call out pearl when you had no vision of such, nor did you select the titan to assume such.

Stealing others' work and calling it your own doesn't make you a professional map maker.

Yeah you're right. I'm using MH, wanted to see how you determined it.

But onto my real question. How come all of my mates are banned from your bot as well? Guessing you just banned everyone that's been on my IP or something, but me dicking around with MH shouldn't affect them.

@Danicon They got banned because you all share an IP. If you didn't want your friends to get banned as well maybe you shouldn't have Maphacked in the first place.

well yeah, I'm sure there is a lesson to be learned, but you can clearly see that they're not active on my at the given moment. And punishing someone for someone elses crime, with a one year ban, is bad for rehabilitation, so it makes little sense. If you banned the lot of us for one month, then it'd make sense, because then the carrot would be to not repeat the incident seeing as playing the game wtihin a realistic period of time would be possible. Setting the time to a year should only affect the accounts on my current IP, and the accounts themselves.

But that's my opinion anyway, I'm assuming that's not how things work, but that has always been the way of wc3.

@danicon

If your mates want to play, they can post their own appeals and we'll deal with them separately.
