mkaay merc without leaving

Postby 1005 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 6:00 pm

I just want to know is this correct way to play, if someone merc without leaving the game?

No doubt about this game we lose for sure, but draw a game is not possible?

We always try and make the rules without a grey area so mkaay not leaving/you guys not kicking him to force the dc penalty on him is not by the book but totally up to you if you just want to remake quick or kick him and dc penalty him
You should votekick him so we could dc penalty him for going merc and you have the right to do so when he goes merc (against the rules) but we can't give him a dc penalty if he does not leave the game before it ends (unless he actually places some merc units that would ensure them the win -> ban)
Drawing the game is a must and if someone mercs and this is always the outcome - so mkaay, pewpew, 1005. and 1006 you should all draw the game - the only thing that is left up to you guys is wether you want to kick the guy for going merc so you can dc penalty him or just leave it be as it clearly was an accident (as they were in a huge lead) and draw the game

You are correct, if someone switches to merc he has to leave the game and it needs to be drawn, unless all players ingame agree otherwise. On the other hand (not saying this was the case here) we also hope that people will be fair in such a situation and for example not force a draw when they would have died to 100% on the next level and rather take the loss.

@mkaay please follow the rules next time. If the other team wants to draw, then draw, if they want you to leave, then leave.

Okay my bad! I thought it would be okay to play on if i didnt use merc and just upgrade whatever I could (It wasnt much). Im not really seeing any problem with continue playing though, since it's only me and pewpew who actually loses on it.
And if Im not mistaking We did agree to play on (?).
However it was a stupid mistake by me and apologizes to everyone who was attended in the game!

The other team wanted to draw. The leave/draw rule is in place to not penalize your own team for your mistake, but as I said, if everyone agrees you can play on.

Archiving as it is solved.
