Question for game admins

a friend played a dota game today and an interesting scenario developed.

he was playing the game, and on the opposite team (scourge) were 4 friends + 1 pub (he could tell they were friends cuz all 4 had same tag in name). as game was played 1 of the friends played Vengeful spirit and would constantly use his swap ability on the pub to save his own life and kill the pub in the process. Naturally the pub got upset and afk'd in the fountain. when the 4 friends attempted to votekick the pub for afking & "feeding", the sentinel didnt vote cuz they thought the friends shouldnt have done that fucked up shit to the pub in the first place. sentinel ended up winning the game despite having 2 feeders.

im aware that not votekicking someone for afking is bannable.
however there is no rule against intentionally killing your teammates.

what is your opinion?

say the 4 friends submitted ban request on the pub for afking. would you ban the pub?

if the pub submitted ban on the 4 friends for intentional team killing, would you ban the 4 friends?

if the 4 friends submitted ban on players who didnt vote the votekick, would you ban sentinel team?

I'm curious on your thoughts.

In this circumstance, the pub afked because he was being TK'ed? VS ONLY and the pub should get banned imo.

1. TK is not allowed really. Check the rules.

2. AFKing and afk timer resetting is against d rules too

We had a rule for "malicious use of skill", but after we centralized info on wiki page, it seems this rule is not as specified as before, but still exists for mods when reviewing brqs.

We have a general game rule stating: "Do not ruin the game on purpose. For example, by feeding or attacking teammates." +
We do ban players for "maliciously using skills against own teammates". Tiny toss, vs swap, bane sleep, etc are examples. Of course, how you use the skill(s) at what situation and frequency of usage will determine whether it was intentional team-kill or "trolling" against a teammate or a bad decision.

No matter what the circumstances, an afk is afk. Simple afk = gets !kickafk kicked after 5 min; whereas afk grieving means the game ruiner's afk exceeds 5 minutes preventing himself from getting kicked.

Summary of your case:
-4 friends 1 pub in a team.
-One of the friends, VS, keeps swapping the pub and gets him killed.
-4 friends vote to kick the afk grieving pub, reasons being "feeding" and "afk grieving"
-Other team refuse to kick afk grieving vs

Possible Consequence:
If vs keeps swapping pub and gets him killed just so he can live letting pub die every time, it is a malicious use of skill = ban on vs.
If 4 friends initiates vk when the pub is simply "dying" or "feeding" w/e they call it, but not afking... they are abusing vk = ban.
If 4 friends initiates vk when pub is actually afk grieving(after dying or not) and others dont kick him = peeps who do not agree to kick = may get banned depending on how the mod sees the game.

Most vk bans are 1-2 days. Most vk abuse require someone innocent getting kicked or if there is a spam of invalid vks initiated. But, cases when people bait others into vking or deceive others will result longer than 2 days ban.

All depends on the situations at hand.
1) The VS is angry at the pub and runs into bad situations + swaps the pub
2) The pub is playing a tank like Axe or Centaur and VS swaps him into the middle of the team in a fight, where he should be tanking.
3) Other situation. For example, the VS thinks the pub should initiate, and the pub does not, he swaps, pub runs and dies. Or, maybe a foolish swap but without malicious intent.

Situation 1: No
Situation 2: Yes
Situation 3: Depends

if the pub submitted ban on the 4 friends for intentional team killing, would you ban the 4 friends?

Situation 1: Yes, for only vengeful spirit
Situation 2: No
Situation 3: Depends

if the 4 friends submitted ban on players who didnt vote the votekick, would you ban sentinel team?

Situation 1: No
Situation 2: Yes, if the sentinel had sufficient knowledge of the pub's guilt.
Situation 3: Depends

Also depends on how many times VS did it.
Things like these are judged on a case by case basis most of the time.
